Spurs, Arsenal , Villa or Salford United away please.

I have an awful lot of respect for Coventry and Mark Robins. To come from where they were to where they are now should be applauded and a lot of clubs could take notice of what giving manager proper backing and time does to a team. Also, when languishing alongside us in L1 there was never any big head attitude from their fans, they were accepting of where they were and have a good core fanbase which stuck with them. Be a good match Saturday hopefully, I'm hopeful of a replay but think we'll come short - 3-1 Coventry.

Can't believe Coventry are 8th and 3pts off the playoffs! When Des was appointed and up to the 27th of November, Coventry were 20th - two places above the relegation zone. They must be some serious form to climb that significantly in such a short space of time especially as there was quite a gulf between the lower teams and the playoffs. This will be a very difficult tie.

Sakamoto will rip us a new one if he plays.

I couldn’t believe some people said this was a decent draw at the time. Away from home to a good Championship side is about as bad as it gets. We’ll do well to get anything out of this one.

To be fair (although I broadly agree) - Coventry didn't look a good Championship side when the draw was made. They were struggling at the time.

They're just unbeaten in seven league games since then, and have rocketed up the table as a result!

They're obviously strong favourites if they play their best team......though precedent would suggest that they won't. Last year they made six changes for the 3rd round of the Cup before losing to Wrexham.

It's a fun draw though, fairly near and a decent stadium. A crap draw would be Rotherham away, we'd probably lose but would take half as many people.

Rotherham are bottom of the league and have 1 win in their last 6, or 5 points from their last 18! I’d say we’d have a better chance of beating them than Coventry?

Maybe, but still an unglamorous and tricky draw. To me, a 'good draw' would include away to Liverpool or Man City, it's not like we're going to win the cup.

Coventry were 18th at the time the draw was made having one their first game after a torrid run. They were 20th just a week before and looking like relegation candidates. Sadly since then, they've picked up a string of impressive wins putting them in 8th. It's typical and unfortunate for us but should be a great challenge and a test of our credentials.

I agree, so throw all of those big teams (as well as all of the smaller teams we should be beating) into the ‘good tie’ pile and Coventry away was always a not great draw, that’s all I’m saying

Still, hopefully we’ll win!

Evening coventry fan in peace , we were struggling to score more than anything , we're top 6 for XG in the league at the time dominating matches just not getting results , Mark Robins switched us from our wing back system which we used for 6 years and now we play 4231 , since the switch we've lost 1 in 10 .. beat Sunderland and boro away and drew with Leeds away and southampton at home all in December . We've lost 3 Games at home in 12 months now .

The club made many signings in the summer spending around 23 million pound after losing Gyokeres and Gus Hamer for a combined 35 million and also came under new ownership around 12 months ago too .

It's a very different coventry City from the one that was in league 1 , 19,000 Season ticket holders and average attendances floating around the 25,000 mark and a club that looks relatively stable as opposed to many now which is a crazy turn of events .

I expect many changes Saturday, and I also won't be surprised if we lose this too , Mark Robins never shows any interest in the Competition but maybe with new owners and a better squad he might start caring .

Anyway , all the best

Coventry 1-2 Oxford

PS : good luck in your promotion race
