I can remember that we went through a spell of not being able to score and Shuker was put up front for a few games. He scored and scored in that period. Got us out of the problem we were in.

I didn't know orange was also called Old Gold. If you want a left back playing centre forward then why not try Ruffels there. Could do worse!

We played in orange and orange & blue for years and years. Then we played in old gold for about 10-15 years only.

Just looked it up on Oxkits site. Yes it seems we played in orange prewar. We changed to old gold and navy around 1950 (the time I started to really follow the U's). We have never played in orange since. Technically you are right. Well done.
Still think the orange kit is a bloody rip off though.
It's not really though compared to a usual replica top produced on the thousands. A limited edition of 125 each with unique stitching at £75 each. You know some premier teams who have mega millions sell run of the mill replica tops for £80-£100?
I guess the other point means that the club didn't start when any of us alive now starting watching.... ie it's a 125 year anniversary. In the grand scheme of things the old gold was a short lived fad.

Without trawling through all the threads for today’s game, is there anywhere where I can see the timetable/itinerary of today’s events? I’m taking my 12 yr old son and my partners son along. They don’t come to many games but I’d really like them to see the old legends etc. It’ll be really nice for them to see the clubs heritage and, you never know, it might get them hooked for life
