New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Basically regurgitating a lot of what we knew already then?

That's true, but still important to keep a lot of this in the public domain. The proposal for having upto 4000 rail seats is a big step forward and would have come off the back of the public consultation. This would come with some new design work that would explain some of the delays to planning rather than the perception that there is something fundamentally wring behind the scenes.

I know we all want to know that the planning application is in, and to an extent this means little, but it still helps to inform the wider fanbase and community of the huge benefits that come with this move.

Well, hey folks, let's not get too excited about this, eh?

Come on, this is good news! The co-ordinated press release and coverage in the Fail is at least an effort made to get good publicity across. I would hope that the Fail has given this front page placing (where it should be as a news story!) and, that those idle buggers at BBC South can actually get a story on air without mentioning their favoured teams at the same time. ITV Meridian may do a bit more.

That's the spirit! Well done on finding a negative spin.
Nope, some have pointed out little things that have been added in terms of information and that’s fair enough and accept that. However it’s nothing really and plenty for the anti’s to get into, especially with the road closure/bridge situation. No point having our heads in the clouds! This is what people care about, and if not done correctly it’s what will stop the development dead in its tracks.

Given the extensive information release today, the club need to be banging down the doors of the Fail and BBC and others today to follow this up with interviews. Make it a coordinated marketing campaign and make sure you get to the press that matter with your own opinion before they can go looking for negatives elsewhere in the absence of any positive noise. It will be so annoying after this update if the people that are relied upon for comment on TV and in the Fail is FoSB and other nimbys who will be allowed to make a big negative out of what should be a positive news day.

The club has got to want to interact with The Oxford Mail and BBC Radio Oxford. Listening to The Dub today, I don’t think they do, particularly.

Are there 4000 fans that would want to stand up though? I wouldn't imagine it's that high.

I can't imagine a largely empty standing section is ideal, while the rest of us fight it out for the seats.

The seats can be locked in a down position if needed, converting the area to all-seater.

I can well imagine that 4000 will want to stand, I fully expect these areas to be oversubscribed.

that would leave 10,000 home seats, I don’t reckon you will have to fight that hard.
