What's with the recent tweet at 1600 by the club? Isn't that same thing what they did last time there was a signing?

That’s a shame, i agree the atmosphere has died recently but don’t get dragged into it.

We’re still in a very good position, I think the new set of fans that think they make atmosphere are ruining the match day experience for a lot of people especially away day.

I hope/was thinking of starting a supporters group when the new stadium is open (hopefully) to set up a more organised way for fans to sit, join in the atmosphere in a safe way for families and older people too!

Would be really nice as I’ve recently had my first son, and would like to take him but wouldn’t feel comfortable going in the “atmosphere” ends

Where does the "top 4 budget" come from? I'd be surprised if our wage bill is bigger than any of the relegated clubs (Wigan, Reading, Blackpool) and would also expect us to be behind a few others. Derby obviously, probably Peterborough, Pompey, Barnsley as well. Maybe others, I don't know. Even with that it's well understood that there's a sizeable portion of the wage bill that need to be cycled off our books so we can invest it more effectively, that won't happen until the summer.

I don’t doubt that we’ve got a top 6 budget, but if 20% of it is tied up in players that aren’t contributing then what is it really? And how realistic is it for us to make up that 20%?

People get fed up of waiting, but we were told Robinson’s mess was a 2 or 3 window fix and I’m fearing it’s the latter. We’re a lot closer than we were a year ago, the progress has been very good especially with some of the (less predictable) injuries we’ve had, but we look at least three signings away. I’m not sure we’ll see another centre mid when we’re paying for four or five already. I still think we need another senior forward. I actually wouldn’t mind seeing a right sided centre back but there’s no chance of that. We definitely need another winger with some pace.

I’m not sure Des is at a point yet where he can get more out of a squad through the quality of his tactics, he’ll hopefully get there but he’s not there yet.

So all in all, I think we’re on the right trajectory, but I doubt we’ll get what we need this week. Maybe that’s fair enough with how much we’re already spending and how much is going to no good use.

I would say it's been remarkably placid and subdued when you consider that we've gone from being the 2nd best side in the division up to mid-November, to one that is 13th based on the table since then.

Releasing the shackles from Mcguane, and allowing him to play further up the pitch and make driving runs.

Nah we don’t need that kind of player. Jesus wept.

And yeah, things feel whinier than they ever have to me. This could just be my perspective of course.

On the Burey front - when did he arrive and how many games have we played since? He was on the bench the day after he signed and we've played once (once!) since and came on as a sub. That hardly counts as 'barely' playing him. Fair enough the Browne and Edwards comments but you are actively looking for sticks to beat the club with.

FFS that cheeses me off so much, have we ever had such a shambolic situation and player in our squad? For what we are paying him he has to be one of the biggest mistakes that KR made, and we've been paying for it ever since he joined!

I don't care if he has the potential to be the 'best player in the league', I hope we get rid of him asap, and get someone in who can play regularly and contribute!

And the same for Browne too! He's been here too long and not contributed anywhere near enough.

We're probably forking out nearly £10k a week for those 2? Ridiculous beyond belief.

I actually said pre-Tuesday night that I’d not be a bit surprised to see Murphy play very little part in our run in.

I sort of forgot about it because Manning set us up in such a way that we didn’t need one. There were moments where you thought we could still use one, particularly closing out winning positions, but in the main it wasn’t a glaring need.

We’ve now reverted to type a bit and playing this open high risk style of football (which may or may not be deliberate, I can’t work it out, maybe we’re just a bit s**t) and teams are getting at us. Des definitely needs one to play this way effectively and I’m again shocked that this wasn’t on the agenda heading in to January.

A lot of the more moany and entitled people seem to be younger maybe? Used to winning and signing players in video games, or just not as jaded by the ups and downs.
