Spoke to someone involved at Cheltenham, said it'd be "up to Darrell" but felt in his opinion they'd be taking a big risk selling Goodwin in January unless it's touching seven figures. They don't need to sell, they need his goals and some stability.

Had something similar with Alfie May where they said "Stay and keep us up and you can go in August with our blessing" which they did. You would say for under market value in the end as well.

Sounds like a few are waiting to go on loan once we sign some more players, assuming this is going to be players like Gatlin and AEW due to how Des has said he wants attacking additions.

Players are already ready to come on loan and have been in the building for conversations, but the parent clubs need to sign replacements to ensure they have sufficient cover (from Des)

Wants more options in our front line - “a couple more”. Undecided if they will be loans or permanent.

Some players likely to go out on loan, assuming we get players in.

Stewart - just “checking in” rather than looking to sign specifically.

Hackett in first team coaching staff for rest of the season. Doesn’t put numbers on importance of coaching staff so won’t have a specific Assistant. Happy with the current structure.

Joe Moore is the analyst - worked in NZ and Fulham and serving notice at Arsenal. Working remotely.

Open to Edwards staying but we’ll see where we are at the end of the season. But we’re in the driving seat for him and other loans potentially.
The new analyst - coming from Arsenal. Didn't LM's analyst we recruited in summer come from Arsenal?

Sounds like the loans are pretty much in place/identified. It also sounds like the buys will be the last ones to get down. Any permanent striker if they come in will be at the back end of the window. Not surprised our bid for Goodwin has been rejected. Auction has begun!

Our bid? Thought it was Charlton's!

I do , yes . Few months at Nat league would do him the world of good . Still only 19 and confidence needs restoring after poor treatment for his development these past few months .
There is a player in there.
I think it’s bigger than that with G’OD. Most players go and just get some minutes. He actually needs to go and discover what player he is. He was one thing in the youth setup and almost an entirely different player since stepping up which, in my opinion, is making him far less effective. He reminded me of Defoe once upon a time, now he reminds me of Heskey - how can that happen?

What worries me with him is his identity as a player and what he’s working towards. He needs to go and find out what that is and come back a more polished version of that. There’s every chance he goes away and returns to us to be part of a championship squad in pre season so the levels are rising and he’s getting left behind. Being thrown on for 5/10 mins for 18 months has almost programmed him to be a disruptive hold up player. He was a goal scorer and gets further away from that every time he plays. Doing him absolutely no good being here at the moment.
