I don’t think we need a left back if Marcus Browne plays in front of brown as Marcus Browne don’t need a overlapping fullback as it encourages him to take the players on all the games last season he played his best on the left and when he fails trying to take the player on brown is behind ready to defend

Cracking! that's me much fully on the positivity bus.

What happened to the talk about getting someone from France? Was that all bluster or anything coming from it?

What he actually said was "Ed Waldron has worked in France previously and I’ve had experiences abroad as well, so it’s about touching base with some of the contacts we’ve got to help maybe identify potential other recruits."

It was in relation to the lack of striker options available in this window at home, so they would consider using contacts elsewhere to see what was about.

As with everything these days, this quickly developed into "we're signing a striker from France" on social media.

Another very good signing that ticks all the boxes- young, fit, fast, hungry and capable of playing at a higher level.

Welcome Mark, good luck, hope you bang em in for us!

Well done Liam and the recruitment team 👏👏

NEXT!

Harris adds to the list of players with recent international call-ups which increases the likeliness of us having games called off for having at least 3 players called up.
Though he hasn't been in the Welsh squad since the World Cup

Previous Full Call-Ups/Training Squads:
Brown
Harris
McGinty
Smyth
Wildschut

Previous Younger Age Group Call-Ups and Still Eligible:
Beadle
Golding
Negru
Stevens

Based on the various photo and video content that has been posted since pre-season started the current squad numbers appear to be:
  1. Beadle
  2. Long

  3. Thorniley
  4. Moore
  5. McEachran

  6. Brannagan
  7. Harris
  8. Bodin
  9. Browne

  10. Eastwood
  11. Smyth
  12. Stevens
  13. Brown
  14. Henry
  15. McGuane
  16. Goodrham
  17. Rodriguez
  18. McGinty
  19. Murphy
The interesting thing is that a few players have had their numbers moved around, be it closer/further away from the 11. Goodrham now has 19 instead of 27 and Smyth has been wearing 14 rather than 25, while the likes of Findlay has had his number given to Thorniley and been handed 35. Obviously Baldock’s number 10 shirt has also been transferred to Bodin, which opens up 7.

You can then cross reference the list against the white board that was visible in the McEachran signing video. Baldock and Seddon weren’t on the board at all, nor Yanic and Findlay, so it’ll be interesting to see if either of the latter two can be moved on. Clearly the first two already have been, but the club aren’t saying anything for some reason.

Dot counting has a rival. And it features snazzier anoraks.

But substantially inferior trainers.

They’re the only two players who haven’t been featured in any footage or images what so ever, and are both missing from the list of players available for sponsorship that was recently sent to commercial and corporate clients.
ahhh , totally missed the sponsorship thing. Thank you :D(y)

So by that reckoning, there’s 4 more signings to come.

Maybe 5, if McGinty goes out on loan…

Still need:
LB/LWB
DCM
STRIKER
WINGER (maybe 2)

What an interesting and daresay exciting window so far, I'm really looking forward to this season - Just wondering what Ox Shire West and Charles think of our recruits?
