I must admit, when I thought we were looking to bring in Cumming, it made total sense, but what with Beadle being so young and small in size, it's a bit concerning.

Like you say, if he's that highly rated, and considering it will be a season long loan, there's no point letting him come here to sit on the bench all season, so he must be seriously good, if he's being considered as a straight replacement for Eastwood as No1.

I agree, and that's exactly what most people have been doing, discussing the pros and cons of Easty's position at the club, whilst being appreciative and respectful to someone who has been a great servant to our club.

But it's those who are constantly slating him as "s**t", and flatly refusing to acknowledge the major role he played in keeping us up last season, that really pickle my turnips.

Pretty much everyone agrees that we need to upgrade on Eastwood, and bring in a new No 1, with Easty as No 2.

The club are clearly looking at bringing in a new keeper, so obviously feel the same way as the majority of us.

Why are you still arguing and complaining? I can only imagine it's because most don't agree with your ludicrous claims that Eastwood is "s**t" hence Bazzer responding with his (quite accurate) "delusional" remark.

I’ll say what I want. I don’t think he’s good enough. Stats wise he was awful. Been a great servant for the club but shouldn’t be starting. Don’t need to chill out at all. It’s my opinion of his level & it’s not good enough for what we want or need. Not really a ludicrous claim when he was as poor as he was last season with a handful of decent saves mixed in.

I'm on holiday, relaxing in the sun so didn't really want to get wound up by some of your warped rhetoric. However, your dismissal of someones very real and accurate description of the malaise of Nitrous Oxide abuse cannot go unmentioned. If you had ever dealt with the after effects of addiction then maybe, you would temper your posting. I spent most of an afternoon keeping tabs on a young woman who carried a bag of cannisters with her despite the fact that she was attending A&E for related injuries. I was working in my then role of liaison between the ambulance service and the hospital and, despite my normal duties, had to attempt to keep her from using as she was required to be sober for treatment. Her desperation and determination to use was overiding any sane thoughts she might have had.

I would recommend that you refrain from any more banal posting, anymore utter nonsense and wind it in!
As said, maybe the Mods are prepared to let things go, for the moment but, you are not the sort that will have longevity on this forum.

He needs to get himself in the gym over the summer, and bulk up a bit.

You don't have to chill out but can you accept that the team was awful last year?

Keepers tend to have better stats in better teams

For what it's worth I think he did a valiant job and if we'd have had a lesser keeper, we'd have gone down

To get to the Championship, I believe you need near Championship quality throughout the team. I don't believe Eastwood is Championship quality and would welcome a genuine improvement.

On Eastwood he is and has been a great servant for us but his shot stopping from distance and his distribution has been in question for a while, More competition can only be a good thing and if it is beadle that comes in he looks a great talent. Exciting stuff. The lad from Millwall looks particularly good if the rumours are true around him certainly a big change in the way buisness has been done in the window for us in recent years.

More time to gel on the training pitch and get to know each other, far better then learning that in the first half of the season and signing players that have had their day.

Not getting injured in friendly matches then out for half a season would also be good if possible. Whilst paying them top money.

Good point. Eastwood looks pretty well built - we should stick with him for now.

I don’t think build is always the sign of strength; let’s actually see him play before judging his abilities.
