Matches Relegation Run ins

That’ll be tight.
Can’t see a win tomorrow but I can see a riot at FGR with a few goals in our favour.
I see a win against Cheltenham so long as Alfie May doesn’t haunt us

That's irrelevant in respect of the cushiness of the run in. Whatever length our unbeaten run is does not take away the fact that that run in as easy as it gets. Where or how can it be any easier ? Bar swapping Cheltenham for, say, a team below them ? But would that be any easier as pretty much every team below Cheltenham is in the dogfight to stay up. If you were given a pen and paper and asked to write down three ideal last three game fixtures, two at home and one away, a hell of a lot of people would have come up with this three. You have the weakest one as your only away game and the second weakest one as your last home fixture of the season. It's dreamland !
i wouldnt use the word easy for any of those teams as we cant score or win. Just because they are below us doesnt make it easy, as for the most part, weve looked terrible against the worse sides in the league and much better against the top sides.

I'm taking nothing for granted with our run-in. We probably have the easiest on paper however we have played appallingly against the weaker teams in the division this season - failed to beat MK twice, lost comfortably to Cambridge and lucky to beat them at home, drew with Accy, got a lucky draw against Forest Green, drew with Morecambe twice and scraped a point against a depleted and half-arsed Port Vale irrespective of an impressive home win against them when they were doing well.

Cheltenham would love to see us down, Forest Green have nothing to lose and Accy will need to win or would take the nuclear option and try and send us down on our own ground with them. It's a tough set of fixtures in all honesty but if we can get out the traps fast and play with the confidence we've shown then we should find one or two wins there. The Barnsley game may very well prove to be our easiest despite their form at home and position. We have nothing to lose and they may have to accept a playoff place pending results after 3 woeful away games of late.

Now explain it using words only. No numbers.
Apologies, late on this one. The explanation in words as to why 0.99 recurring equals 1:

If they are not equal, then there must be a non-zero difference say "x" between them. However however small the difference "x" you choose, you can extend the number of 9's in 0.99 recurring to make the difference less than "x", hence disproving that they are not equal. Therefore they must be equal.

Now that’s what I call a proof :)

x < 0.99 recurring

I can see Oxford, Cambridge & Morecambe all finishing on 44 points. Saved by our goal difference.

The calculations are getting simpler. We can forget about Vale after their win today.

I'd be very confident now that if we win two of our last three (any two), we'll be fine.

That would put us on 47. Neither Morecambe nor Accrington can get more than that now, and both Cambridge and MKD would have to win all their remaining games to do so. I don't see that happening because a) they're both rubbish, and b) MKD still have Barnsley to play next weekend. Our GD is still far superior to any of them.

Couldn't ask for a more straightforward final three games to do it.

But winning two from three after going 17 without a win is a big ask.

Four or five points could be enough......but then you're relying on a bunch of other teams ending the season badly. So I would be going into Cheltenham thinking that only a win will do; another draw doesn't move the needle any more.

Does any Statto on here have the League 1 table at the end of December 2022? Just interested to see how we have fallen compared to others.

Get a grip people. We are absolute shite. We are down. Accept it. Be angry about it. But let's not pretend we are miraculously winning games. It's time to plan for League 2 and give it our best shot..
