Ex-Staff Liam Manning

Fully behind this appointment.

I’m convinced that the club will benefit in the long term from a more progressive approach and, to me, Manning fits the bill. The club now need to move quickly to fill the complementing positions.

I can’t wait for today’s game.

Was just thinking back to when MAPP was in the stand having just been appointed by Lincoln and we were the visitors that day. Result 0-6?
Hopefully LM won't have such a bruising introduction.
That was the most bizarre result, wasn't it? We were never 6-0 better than them but every time we went forward we scored!

Probably quite a brave appointment.

I hope he fulfils his promise, that the board back him financially and that they appoint someone to help out with recruitment (which we ought to be looking at already, but with no Head of Recruitment and a brand new manager?).

Great to have a manager in and I have to say if he overcomes the daunting challenge ahead then we have a very exciting opportunity next season. Seems very calm and composed in his interview.

Get today out the way and look ahead with optimism. Welcome to the club, Liam. Let’s get it.

Best of luck to him - hoping he can drag us over the line this season and then begin an exciting new era.

It really will take a couple of days to get over the my own bitter disappointment of it not being Appleton. And I’ve voiced my concerns over whether he is the right man for the immediate situation we find ourselves in and the grave implications of the board getting this decision wrong.

But fortune favours the brave supposedly. And this is very much a brave appointment of an intelligent and reputable young coach who clearly fits into the long-term plan the board have. Welcome & good luck Liam! 💛💙

I wonder what fans would have said if we went for Murty or Buckingham. They would have been cheap options.
Buckingham wouldn’t have been cheap. He recently signed a new long-term contract with the richest football ownership group on the planet.

Best of luck to Liam Manning and Chris Hogg. Fingers crossed people get behind them and we can see what next season brings, hopefully in League One.

A really good appointment for the future. The trouble is staying up this season (but that would apply equally for anyone we appointed - not a lot of time to sort things out!) If we stay up, next season could be really exciting.

He might of signed a long contract with richest ownership group but I can safely say I have never watched an Indian league game. I had never heard of Buckingham before and I bet most other fans hadn't either.

Liam Manning was a manager we could only dream off last season he looked destined for a top championship team.

sadly not sure that we do have ....
but that will not be his fault - KR and the Board should share that onr equally
I think that a lot of people are massively overestimating how good some of the teams are in this league, there's plenty of dump especially down the bottom. If Manning can't keep us up with a three point head start, probably the best squad of the relegation candidates and games against four of them between now and the end of the season then he doesn't get away blame free for me.
