Ex-Staff Karl Robinson

To put into context what a detestable person he was, something extra from Friday's meeting. Robinson came out with the following while grinning and sniggering (along with Williams) "along with the subs on the bench we run a sweepstake as to when we hear the first Robbo out chant"
Taken aback, I stopped him and remarked that this was "facile and juvenile behaviour". Williams looked at me as though I'd accused them of some heinous crime and leapt to Robinson's defence.
I was later informed that Robinson was telling anyone in the Vicky Arms, Marston who'd listen, that I had no sense of humour. Well, well, Mr Robinson, who's laughing now?

Sounds like it’s Robinson who doesn’t have a sense of humour, hence several first team players sent out on loan.

But then it’s well known he’s complete hypocrite especially all the bullshit he spouts about mental health, integrity, honesty and humility.

We played some great stuff but even then didn't beat the top teams very often. He did a great job until the end of last season when it started to change and sadly the summer was terrible So many fans could see something was going on. I stated in the transfer marker pre season he had got lazy. Signing ,Baldock, keeping Henry ,Bodin ,no real pace .No Cdm it went on. I hope he his OK it just seemed to go on,rumours etc. He seemed a decent guy but he blew a big opportunity and we've got to get out of the mess he's left us with. But football can change quickly iam confident we will stay up and have really good season next year . Come on the board and COYY.

Cannot quite remember 5 years back. Were the majority on this forum pleased(reasonably) with his appointment?

Surprised, Tiger said we'd get a "WOW" appointment... and the Karl arrived

Was all a bit anti-climatic... bit like his tenure as manager really

I was, given the mental alternatives such as Stam and Kluivert that were being bandied about.
His promotion with MK was then relatively recent and he said the right things on the first fans forum after being appointed.

Oh yes Syksey fell out with him big time but he couldn’t really drop him because him and Williams was needed in that system we played last year
I can tell you now Sykesy loved playing for the club & loved the fans but he hated Robinson. Saw him many times & he said as much. Shame because before he left and the majority of last season he was integral to us but lots of players got bombed out for daring to have the balls to stand up to Sir Karl. Only so long you can treat people like crap before it bites you in the a**e.

Gavin Whyte decided to stay and rot in the Cardiff reserves rather than play for Karl Robinson again. No need to be remotely coy anymore.

There are plenty of others.

Didn't read like that at all to me. Seemed like an ex player thanking their ex manager. Seems like the lady who tweeted it and put their spin on it has an agenda but nothing sarcastic in his post I can see.
You are wrong in this case unfortunately bud. Sykes loved the club & fans but felt ostracised towards the end of his time here. That is just the truth. What’s happened after with other players and before with players like Pekalski only reinforce that.

I was pleased at the time too. We needed someone like him and it genuinely paid dividends. But he should have gone after the second play off campaign when it was obvious we had stagnated and he wasn't tacking out obvious flaws.

Exactly this. Gavin & Mark are very good friends away from the pitch as well. Like you say, no need to be coy. Robinson treated people like s**t for ages and it’s caught up with him.

I'm not offering an opinion on whether Sykes felt ostracised while here as I have no inside knowledge so happy to bow to those who do. However, that message he put out seems completely respectable to me.
