Manager/Coach KREXIT: The 'Robbo Out' thread.

I'm struggling to comprehend quite how that shower of a squad have actually got 36 points. This is a terrible league this season and it could be that 44 points could be enough. The problem we have is that we haven't got them yet, and unless the manager is sacked it is extremely unlikely we will get anywhere near 40 let alone 44 or more. League 2 would destroy this club now. This is all on the board now. Just get on with it, tell us all now so that we can have a proper Saturday night party for once.

No can do. There needs to be the Sunday board meeting first, so that everybody can agree it’s not good enough, that they all care and that they get it, and then Karl can nip off for his next mini break to get ready for Lincoln. Rumour has it that he’s off to Amsterdam this week!

😴😴😴 this relegation is as much on the board as it is Karl! Sort it out Tim nice but dim ffs!

Notoriously slow starter, not what we need atm. If he keeps us up then I’d back him to be successful but is the timing right given how bad things are atm.
Agree. On the other hand if we went down I rate his chances of bouncing straight back.

This is a Wilder job for me. Has been for some time but even more so now. Dangle silly money in front him to keep us up. Whatever it takes. We need some personality. If we go down we’ll be back here at the first attempt. If we stay up I think he’d get us back to play off contention next year.

Trouble is I don’t think he even answers the phone to this job now. Might’ve done before Jan.

I don’t think KR is going anywhere. I think the board still think he can scrape the points to stay up this season, clear his head in the summer and go again next season.

Ok, a new stadium is on the horizon and that’s great but, in the here and now, the club is dying on its a**e.

If the Board are stupid enough to not sack him after today, I fear the protest will move from vocal to potentially violent.

The club have a public safety responsibility here.

They need to start acting responsibly.

Ignoring the history, Wilder is an interesting one. Boro was his first real failure and you can maybe just about get away with saying that he didn't get on with the board, but the falling out at Sheffield United before it means he has to think very carefully about his next job otherwise his career could nosedive. He has to be a success, more so than ever.

Im ashamed of those in our fan base who can't manage their own short term expectations and scapegoat the manager. How quickly they forget the last 3 great seasons where 100 goals+ was almost record breaking. Why lay ALL the blame at the manager and not the players? Taylor? - the biggest piece of the jigsaw to our lack of goals, Henry? - looked finished - Brown? -an absolute shadow of last year. Cam? - 60% the player and no one fit long enough to score goals. They are ALL accountable.

So when your best players and goal sources don't turn up who's to blame? Personally I dont want a risky new manager who is under direction to consolidate mid table security for 10 years before we push. I may be dead before I see Championship. The board have seen enough near misses under KR to believe. But the current squad have just not given! I blame them not the manager but I think the coaching team needs completely changing, We have been worse than awful at converting set pieces and conceding simple goals for years so I don't know what they are doing? They need to go. Some creative options on free-kicks and corners from a suit would be better than "training" with track-suited dead heads

We need to get a sports psychologist in quickly but at the end of this year we begin again with a whole load of different soup ingredients and I think KR has got it right 3/4 and got to be backed? Just my POV. It should never get divisive or abusive, Steve f*****g Bruce I hope not Appleton? - If everyone in the squad IS "totally united" then don't change anything. 12 games left - new manager = bingo with this lot - it is ugly this year but we need to start supporting the team and stop the negative B*****s, It may get us the odd point to safely keep the wolf from the door

And relegation? No - needs a couple of days away, chat it through, positive positive positive and try and get 11 to turn up on Match day. then we have more than enough. No manager can ever win if on Match day 3-5 players simply don't turn up. Not many players in this squad have done themselves justice this year or deserved to wear the shirt. Think about that if you are the under-critic manager.

He refuses to blame them - blind loyalty? - If only he was blonde with big tits. We would all still love him

Good god no,, that’s layering bull sh1t with more bull sh1t. If we are gonna get someone new in let’s build something
Last thing we want though is a rushed permanent appointment.

I was thinking about someone like Holloway in the short term. I would personally go with someone with a bit of experience. Their first target is to secure enough points, second target then to blood youngsters once safe and I’d also want them to produce an independent report on the playing squad / coaches for the board to review.

The thing is many managers may think I don’t want that risk on any kind of long term deal. I think our best bet is a short term appointment and proper recruitment process in the summer.

Leam Richardson probably the stand out candidate and very much obtainable. His assistant was also James Beattie who is highly regarded.

His football wasn't impeccable but he built a solid physical Wigan side, he knows what's needed to get out of this league.

Still young with not too much experience so has plenty of potential with a decent budget.

Not the only option but would probably fire a rocket up the a**e of our current squad.
