Manager/Coach KREXIT: The 'Robbo Out' thread.

Hmmm. But wouldn't people who are unhappy with the manager be happy to be moved on anyway?

I'm not in any way pro-KR but there does seem to be a bit of a logical disconnect here.
Would you? You work in football, you live in Oxfordshire, who are you going to go and work for without having to move home? Swindon?

People ask what Tim Williams does and if he knows why good people are leaving. One thing he has done (and feel free to ask this on Friday) is that he has spoken with all of the players and other key personnel at the club. Most individually, a few collectively, all over the last month or so. He has given people the opportunity to air any issues or concerns and that is why I said on Saturday that the vast majority of the players are 100% behind Robinson and @Steve Gilbert has said that he hasn't lost the dressing room. Of course, no one is happy with where we are in regard to results or performances, AND there were a couple of issues raised about the manager (far fewer and less controversial than some would have you believe) and these are being addressed. Everyone is going in on Steve for saying this, and I expect the same will come my way, but those going on Friday will have the opportunity to discuss this with TW to see for themselves whether it's true or not.
Well the fact that TW has done that sounds encouraging
None of us can know what was said but hopefully TW will have a clearer picture now

Do I believe what I'm told?

I do when it comes from within the club. The same people who said that Robinson wasn't being sacked when some on here was saying that he was gone Saturday evening, Sunday and Monday morning. The same people who said that Robinson has some time away with his daughter that was booked AFTER an arranged rest day on Monday (that is often scheduled onto away games to allow players to travel home to wider family) when several were saying that KR had gone to Spain/Thailand or a romantic break etc, and abandoned the club.

And no one has to believe what I've posted. There's an opportunity for some to ask TW, and/or KR tomorrow.

Ah yes, the basis of truth, going to a pre-planned and organised meet which the club have prepared for in advance. That will definitely show their true colours, I'm sure the players will be lined up ready to tell the disillusioned fans one by one whether they like KR or would prefer someone else.

Tim will be stood next to Stuart Findlay and the fans will say "are you happy about being offered to Hibernian merely 6 months after signing a 4 year contract? Are you happy being dropped ever since questioning the manager?" Don't worry, Tim just told me you're happy, so that proves it!

If players were against the manager then they would happily tell an owner or a senior member of staff just what they thought. Footballers are selfish individuals and are more than happy to throw others under the bus.
What SE has said is true but I understand that it goes against the agenda that a small minority on here have against the manager.

That makes sense

..... just being devils advocate here,- with no Mous , no Taylor , & Short and the other fella are KRs picks, Brannagan, Henry & more recently Long have all got extended /improved contracts under KR, Moore the captain was appointed by KR, the owners, or for that matter their representatives are not really accessible, so I dunno who Id go to, if I was a player with issues with the manager

Come on. Moving home is a given in the football industry, people don't last long at clubs generally.

Since March 13th we’ve played 49 games in all competitions.

We’ve won 14.
We’ve kept 5 clean sheets.

If Karl Robinson hasn’t lost the dressing room now then I’d hate to see us if he did lose it.. 🥱
This is the stat that needs to be bought up to TW. How is 14 wins in 49 acceptable for a board who wish to become a top 30 club.

Oh I will.

The very fact that YOU know issues were raised shows the process up for what it is.
A non-confidential hashed up exercise.
I know for a fact that some players are scared to speak out or question about their experiences.
Some that have done are now having to put up with the consequences.

With very few exceptions the players haven't looked like they're not trying to me.

Who gives a s**t what the players think? In any case, anyone within a contrary view has been shown the door already.

We’re losing game after game and we’re plummeting to relegation. That’s all that matters. The manager isn’t very good at his job and should no longer be in post.

That’s not the view of a tiny minority.

That’s with me including cup wins v Exeter, Woking & Orient.

If we want just League One then it’s 11 League One wins in the last 41 dating back to fluking a point last minute versus Ipswich with a McNally header.

The majority of clubs employees stay there long term, look at some of our club employees, PRB, Chris Williams, LBS, Mick Brown... these people have been at the club donkey's years

I think professional pride kicks in though.

Difference between trying & players looking bewildered with tactics & substitutions.

I’ve been very harsh on Murphy since the summer but you have to feel sympathy when his manager is calling him ‘The best player in League One’ then playing him at right wing back.

Actually reading this message again SE if some people have been spoken to collectively they are much less likely to be candid than if they were speaking confidentially one to one
The message that is you and Steve seem to be giving is that apart from results everything is fine

Small minority?! Your evidence for that?

Edit: beaten to the draw by Yellow Submarine!

All of this about whether Robinson is liked is utterly irrelevant, it's a smoke screen to protect the guy (or to beat him with), I don't care if he's liked, nor should the club (to a point), we should care if he gets results in line with expectations, and he is failing at that quite spectacularly.

Football is not a popularity contest
