In fairness the play offs could happen as we aren’t mathematically out of it yet but it is unlikely with how inconsistent we currently are.

Yesterdays result sums up our season and shows why this transfer window is so important.

KR wanted to rebuild the team this summer but his biggest mistake was allowing players like Henry to sign 2 year deals. We now have an aging squad and need to bring in the next lot of young talent to get us back to being contenders which isn’t easy in a January window.

I do however get the feeling that the board will stick with Robinson into next season rightly or wrongly.
You're only citing what you think is the 'biggest mistake, Steve. Perhaps you'd like to add failing to put together a full squad and a chronic imbalance position wise?

I've not said that. In fact I've said (numerous times) that I think change is inevitable and likely to happen at the end of the season. But that shouldn't mean that we should just give up on this season. We've an opportunity to bring players in, and further develop those here to give us the best possible chance for next season.
Yes, but this is what you believe others will do, what is your view as to what should happen? You voted that the current management team can get us promoted, so it's not a stretch to think this means you want Karl to stick around, which is it? Stick or Twist?

I’ll answer that for you if that was to happen with regards Robinson.

I've answered that! Stick for now, twist in the summer. I've said this a number of times (more than I've said that we'd definitely make the playoffs) so why do I have to justify my position?

Twist in the summer regardless? This seems illogical, why not just twist now instead of keeping a dead man walking in post for 6 months?

would it not be better to assess come the summer? Why throw money on Wages Agents etc just to have players sat in the stands. The players to go to the next level will not be available this month and being blunt and realistic, if they are they aint coming here.

As for the momemtum thing, it's a myth most of the time and in the case of a side finishing around mid table it's just a matter of a reset.Everyone starts again and then all the it will be this season nonsense starts again.

I keep saying it, you can't just flick a switch and delare we're really going for it this season, football never works like that.

Just the same as a healthy few quid to spend Guarantees nothing. We could have a Top 3 Budget and a new Manager but there's still a matter of 46 Games and because we have money men wont Guarantee you get over the line and the same conversation could easily still be happening in 12 months.

Whilst our owners and board are very wealthy and astute businessmen, with the stadium clearly their current top priority, I just wonder how knowledgeable they are on the actual playing side and at League One level in particular. Does KR just keep feeding them the bullshit about our permanent bad luck with injuries and what great players we have signed under his tenure and have at our disposal when fit, and they believe it hook line and sinker?

Or do we have owners and a board, especially GF and TW who look after day to day things, who really understand what’s been allowed to happen in the last 12-18 months in particular and how dire our squad building has been?. Do they fully appreciate the fact we are weak in so many key areas and inexplicably have been for several seasons? Do they question why certain players are frozen out? Do they really understand why we struggle to sign players that other clubs similar to us and with smaller budgets seem able to get?

Things need to change asap in terms of the management and backroom set up, I just question if the board fully understand the playing side of things at this level and so whatever KR says must be right?

As someone who would consider themselves a moderate and loyal supporter for thirty odd years, I would genuinely consider not renewing my season ticket next season if that scenario arose.

The Board should reflect very carefully on the coaching set-up next year should we fail to achieve promotion.

I don’t think the apathy being experienced this season will be repeated for a third season - many more folk just won’t bother anymore and might be lost for a long time.

Change may be inevitable and it may happen, but, do you actually think Robinson should be sacked at the end season?

I made sure I went to the game yesterday but that’ll be my lot for home games for this season whilst he remains here. I may do the last game v Accrington at home at a push.

I’ll still do the majority of away games as at least there’s a bit of soul away from home.

I think I’d stop even doing the away games if he was given next season.

so better your money goes to the other club rather than yours?

Right now? No. Rumours are we are just after loans in January which says to me they aren’t planning long term with Robinson in charge. Sack him now then you waste a whole transfer window and Robinson will keep us mid table.
I would get rid in March to allow time to recruit someone new and to assess what they have and what they want to do with the squad.

So Portsmouth have got it all wrong then?
