@northstandboy @Malc Is there any reason why this thread is restricted to members only? Mrs Lounger went to have a look when I told her of this latest update but, cannot as she is not registered as a member.

It was moved to its current location due to 'outsiders' monitoring what we were discussing, and on one occasion taking something that had been said, taking it out of context, and using it as a basis for an attack. Its not a perfect solution, any 'interlopers' who managed to get an account set up can still read the thread.

Is that area big enough for the stadium and commercial projects needed to fund it? Might not be but looks smaller that Stratfield Brake.

To me that is key.
This was supposed to have commercial projects including a potential conference/ concert arena and other benefits.
How will this work?

I am not sure that the local sports teams at SB, and many of the local residents will be very happy if this is the case!

I've got a World Cup match to watch, so not posting anymore tonight, but that site is roughly twice the size of the entire site that Brentford's 17,500 stadium is built on, including the enabling developments at Brentford.

Plenty big enough, and far less contentious.

Wonder if Plan B might have actually been plan A all along? Let everyone focus on the more controversial site while planning for this site in the background meaning everyone’s a winner?

Would need to hear more about the second site before getting too excited, does this mean most of the additional revenue streams will be scrapped. Assuming the site isn’t big enough for all the original plans, unless the club have something else planned.
