And, to be fair, the fact that KR has admitted he could do with his help and LET him take training sessions shouldn’t go unmentioned. Not the actions of a total control freak?
Of course, if Karl has asked for/identified a need for help and been given it that is a good thing.

If it's been forced because there are challenges and concerns then of course that's a different matter.

If that’s the case why don’t they just get shot of him. If Faz returning to help out with training is the boards decision to improve the situation on the pitch, they’re effectively taking some of KR’s key responsibilities away from him due to capability issues. Why all this bending over backwards to keep him in post? I can’t help but start to wonder about Tigers ‘golden contract’ again?

Finished the question about the trading model and the next transfer window with "That model is going to continue to develop with the board and with the chairman and with Karl's involvement".

He also guarantees a more "joined up process" with an emphasis on a "balanced and fit squad" - doesn't say it will be a success though.....

I think the only person with a safer job in English football to KR is the the chap in charge at Harrogate and that's because his dad is the chairman...KR ent going anywhere

So let me get this straight...

Our former coach Derek Fazackerly has returned to his former coaching role, and has been taking training for the last few weeks, and this has coincided with an upturn in results?

:unsure:If this true, then what does this tell us all, and who should the praise really be going to for our recent improvement on the pitch?

I’m not sure what to think. Why is it all so secret? KR hasn’t mentioned it and there’s no sign of him in the dug out amongst KR and his coaches on a match day. Does he (Faz) actually attend games? You would think so if he is coaching the first team. I’m not a KR fan but I’m wary of getting drawn on rumours without a bit more information

It used to be a case of Faz going to watch up and coming opposition on Saturdays rather than come to our games.

It's the right thing to do. I don't feel KR can take us any further and I certainly don't feel that he would sustain us as a Championship club by the way. However if any marginal gains can be achieved by alleviating certain responsibilities from a struggling employee, it's in the best interests of everyone involved including supporters who get to see better results on the pitch.

Improving someones working conditions and helping to support isn't 'bending over backwards', it's exploring an opportunity to seek improvement. Arguably by not doing it, it's a hindrance to him and the team. That change is supportive, but not significant enough of a step to suggest he's invincible. It could even be argued that it slightly diminishes his previously near untouchable status.

What rumours? He’s right there next to Tim Williams in his training gear, six days ago:

He’s been back around the players for weeks.

First of all - as I’ve said on the previous post - I’m not a JR supporter - but I struggle to get my head round all this. Karl has a voice, a contract and - I suspect, a significant ego. Is he just going to step aside and let someone else take over coaching the team? Is nobody at RO or the OM picking up on this if true? It’s quite significant if someone else is taking up first team coaching duties from the - erm - first team coach…

Fair enough. I must have missed the official announcement from Karl and/or the club 🤷🏻‍♂️
There hasn’t been one. But it isn’t a rumour.

The same person who posted the photo probably didn’t realise they’d also shown Kyle Joseph on crutches with a massive protective boot on, given that when this was posted nobody had commented on his injury yet.

I don’t think the manager always does all the coaching? Sounds good if Karl is getting more help, he’s been frazzled recently. Isn’t that what people here have wanted?

I see Faz at most home games. He walked straight past me last Saturday (and didn’t even say hello! [emoji16])

Seriously, I do see him regularly ar games including last week.
Yes. He is occasionally at games. But he’s not usually “on the grass” in branded training gear on non-matchdays, when he lives nearly 200 miles away. The man is supposed to be effectively retired and in his seventies.

It’s good that we are using every resource available to get things back on track. It merely makes me smile because I know that somebody’s ego will be bruised in the process.
