Bonner, Critchley, Ferguson, Edwards all good shouts. There will be plenty of talented young coaches yet to cut their teeth in management who’ll be applying. Some might be put off by that, but three of the four above have made massive success of their first job.

Agree the coaching staff need replacing too.

My top 3.

1. Neil Critchley
2. Darren Ferguson
3. Rob Edwards
Wouldn’t disagree with that, not exactly sure in which order, but you’d hope the club would consider these towards the top of any future new manager pecking order.

Wonder if they may consider a foreign manager or a real surprise package, but personally I think we need someone who knows the EFL and exactly what’s needed to get out of League One at the top end and not via the other end.

Karl Robinson’s Oxford United

7 wins in the last 26 games in all competitions. (Fleetwood 3-2, MK Dons 1-0, Cambridge 1-0, Cheltenham 2-1, Burton 2-1, Exeter 4-2, Leyton Orient 5-0)

3 clean sheets in the last 30 games in all competitions. (MK Dons 1-0, Cambridge 1-0, Leyton Orient 5-0)

4 home wins in the last 15 home games in all competitions. (MK Dons 1-0, Cambridge 1-0, Burton 2-1, Leyton Orient 5-0)

Robinson Out
Absolutely shocking.

D Ferguson, G Alexander and J Ross I heard
All available immediately
No to Jack Ross.

I don’t think it will be any of them.

It will be a BIG name!
The plan has always been to have a manager with an international profile at some point, to help grow the club (particularly in Asia) and work in tandem with ‘Brand Oxford’. Only one person inside the football club seems to have believed otherwise.

Whether they do that while the club is at the wrong end of League One… let’s see. I think they might have to go for a more practical choice for the next 18 months.

as i said earlier, it's chalk and cheese now

Appoint someone short term just to ensure we remain in the League

a long term appointment who hopefully does not look to jump ship at the next big pay day that heads their way

Villa had the guts to sack Gerrard, first game post him, 4-0 up and cruising. What are the club waiting for…

If someone does well enough that bigger clubs will want him then he will have done his job and got us promotion, that’s the sort of problem we want to have.

It’s certainly a step up from Robinson making up that clubs want him, can’t give him away, not even if we repackage him as an exclusive edition with signed artwork.

so in their eyes (said Manager) we are not a Long Term Project then? they are coming for the money we have until the next £££££ are dangled in front of them.

personally not the way i want us to go. Get us to the Top 30 sustain it and grow from there.
