If it’s a choice between Wilder & KR. I go Wilder all day long.

But that isn’t the choice. I’d rather we sack KR and give a young coach a chance with a director of football. Someone like a Michael Carrick/Liam Rosenior.

Out if interest, why Carrick? Aren't there enough options for managers/coaches who have shown some promise and know the level?

He’s highly rated within football supposedly. He & McKenna worked as coaches alongside each other. Look what he’s done at Ipswich without knowing this level. That’s why he’d need someone above him like McKenna has Ashton at Ipswich. Plus Mous on his coaching staff knows plenty.

Robinson has been saying wait until the injured players are back, so once they are, results are expected, not excuses.
There will be mysterious illness in the next week which wipes out everyone that has recently been injured and will keep them out until the end of October, Karl will bemoan the lack of luck he tells us all how amazing will be once our injured players are back for real

Think my point is very clear. Don’t be afraid of change because of the Clotet experience at Oxford.
You backed Carrick seemingly on the fact 'he's highly thought of in the game', then we have two examples of people with exactly that credential, one who failed here and another you want sacked.

Yeah sacked now but let’s not forget the 2 and a half good seasons Karl delivered. Why can’t Carrick with a director of football with financial backing go one better?

He's been in charge for 27 games, not 6.
And Bradford get crowds that are twice as big as anyone else in League Two. And yet they're still four points off the automatics. They're doing OK, but not great given the size of the club and where they're playing.

Again, not trying to defend KR at all here.....just saying that I personally wouldn't be going after someone like Mark Hughes whose name and fame vastly outstrip his achievements. 23 years as a manager, and he's never won a trophy or a promotion. And although he's never been relegated.....that's only because he's been fired before it happened; the sides he built have been twice.
1. Who said he's been in charge for 6 games.
2. Who said he should come to Oxford.
3. Size of crowds have nothing to do with it. Wimbledon in the premiership days, Crewe all the time they spent in the higher league, championship under Dario Grady.

Size of crowds has a fair bit to do with things. Just becuase some manager to perform in spite of their small attendances, they are the exception not the rule and, generally, will regress.

So is Karl Robinson.

Is he? He seems pretty disliked around the game to me. All my friends who support other clubs hate him and he's never (seriously) linked to other clubs when they need a new manager.

What about Morcambe, Accrington and Fleetwood.
As I said off the top of my head, Wimbledon, Crewe, Burton, even Forrest Green. Thats without looking into it.

If robinson was capable of getting us promoted this was the season to do it after two failed play offs, yet he squandered a huge budget, as players went elsewhere, and there was no back up plan.
We got the usual bull around April about planning, early recruitment, but he failed in many areas and moaned about missing targets as other teams got on with the job of assembling a squad, blaming everything bar the war in the Ukraine.
We then found ourselves quite astonishingly without a completed squad, weeks after the season has started.
So you might want to reassess the timescale you had given him to get on Oxford team promoted. A decade seems a tad optimistic.
Huge budget? Really, why were we looking at Jerome Sinclair then?
