Sunderland v Wycombe Playoff Final

Well, that was a match that I didn’t particularly want either team to win…However, it seems that the footballing side did in the end.

I see that despite both sets of Wycombe fans attending, they still couldn’t fill their allocation.

I wonder where GA will go…

Well done Sunderland.

As for Ainsworth and Akinfenwa. 🤣

I'd add the commentators were still wheeling out the plucky, poor Wycombe line on occasion. How about they actually do some research.

Put your hatred to one side, and try and be impartial. Wycombe had a couple of very good chances.

But the better team on the day won. That will benefit us next season.

They had one that Vokes messed up and Hanlon shot when he could of squared it, so one good chance where he didn’t even get a shot off and a poor decision, they were second best for nearly all of the game as well.
Pretty comfortable win for Sunderland.

I see BBC reporter had a little dig at Oxford… 🙄 🥱

The (marginally) better side won. It's a shame we bottled it so royally in the last six weeks of the season as we would have given either of these two sides a game.

You have to think that High Wycombe have peaked now, an ageing side playing limited football, a manager in a permanent mid life crisis who will move on soon and an owner who appears to be on crystal meth going by his interviews.

Still I am sure they will try to sue someone over this.

If your from Sunderland and you get the chance to visit Oxford you should be grateful.

Sunderland’s place in the football world is always overstated, never been a big club in my lifetime and I am 43.

With Newcastle being massively wealthy now they have no chance of even being the biggest club in the north east.

Get your money on Wycombe going down next season Ainsworth will be somewhere else and they will have less money

Happy with Sunderland going up. A big fish in the L1 pond, and while Wycombe may be competitive again, Sunderland going up reduces one of the probable top sixers next season.

Ooh Sunderland shouldn’t be in league 1 B*****s being spouted on sky.
Didn‘t say, yeah but they have been shite for years and the most mismanaged club in the league.
Don‘t get me started on little Wycombe.
