Anyone, either for or against the SB development, cannot be other than very impressed by the answers from the club to the FAQ's. It surely is a win win situation, not only for the residents of Kidlington and the surrounding area but also for the County as a whole. Even those who are going to make the final decision ,on whether it should go ahead or not, cannot fail to see the advantages for all the parties involved.
OK I may be biased but it makes an awful lot of sense to me anyway.

Our pitch this past week:

FMtnO3IXMAoLy1a

At midnight last night we were at exactly 6,300 home sales.

That's pretty good at this stage, and we're selling about 100 a day at the moment. Using Bolton as my barometer, we are over 100 ahead of where we were at midnight on the Monday before the game, so over five days of sales ahead of that game.

This will be comfortably over 10,000 at this rate.

Depends on how tightly you define "specifically built for them" and how you treat historical predecessors of teams.
ie Newton Heath played at North Road (12000 capacity), then Bank Street (eventual capacity 50000), whilst at Bank Street they changed their name to Manchester United, then after that moved to Old Trafford. There are others.
More to the point. has any club ever had a ground 'built' for them that only had three sides, and stank of urine from day one?

Very good numbers so far. Mods can we move this to the Ipswich thread I can only think Colin is still dizzy from counting all them dots 😜

When did Andy Burgess become our groundsman?
I'll never forget the reception he got playing for Mansfield after he had been critical of the club and Jim Smith in his column in the Mirror. It did the trick he was subbed and had a shocker.

Wasn’t it Rushden and Diamonds in a night match? He went back there after leaving us.

He was pretty much everything I can't stand in a footballer.

Remember when Weymouth got into trouble and had to play their youth team for a while in 2009, and proceeded to get routinely battered? Right up until the day of the first game that this occurred, virtually nobody knew about it, so the bookies were offering ‘normal’ odds right up until kickoff. It was priced as though it were the full first team taking part. The only people who knew about the issue in advance were the players and staff of Weymouth’s ‘first’ opponents, Rushden & Diamonds. Thankfully they were an honest bunch and nobody involved did anything naughty.

The end.

Oh thank god, for a minute there I thought you were going to say that some immoral activity took place.

I’m so pleased that betting and football do not mix in this country.

The University had have this public concert hall approved (they seem to get every planning application approved). Does this mean less of a need for the ice rink that could also be a concert venue at Stratfield Brake?

BBC News - Schwarzman Centre: Oxford concert hall given planning permission

given the 'artists impression , of the 'concert hall' , I'd think that there's more of a need for the ice rink that could also be a concert ( live music) venue at Stratfield Brake . I cant really envisage seeing anybody 'down the front' watching exciting live acts in the Schwarzman Centre ( not if its like that - in the picture!) .....

500 capacity where as the ice rink/ indoor arena at Stratfield Brake was quoted as 3k. That artist impression looks like it will be used for opera, ballet, choir , jazz etc. Not the next pop, rock band to break through.

Yes, it's definitely a development for the privileged few whereas everything at Stratfield Brake will be for the everyday people of Oxfordshire.
