Let's face it were not going too get many boring 1:0 wins or many clean sheets with Robinson. He sets us up to score more than the opposition, and the days we're not firing in front of goal we are more than likely going to lose. Tonight was a case in point. Next!

Again not a single question about his transfer strategy, surely the RO presenters must look at this board and see what it is we're all talking about? And they too must see the glaring deficiencies in our squad?! They have access to KR yet they tippy toe around him.😡
Radio Oxford to scared to ask him proper questions don't want to upset the apple cart

The biggest concern has to be our inability to keep clean sheets. We look so flimsy and at times totally devoid of organisation.

I appreciate we’ve not had the luxury of a settled back-line, but still, we really are struggling there.

Usual blustering rubbish? Respect blah blah blah, style of play blah blah blah, using the squad blah blah blah.....

I wish he'd just admit he's gambled/wasted too much on the wide and forward areas and as a result we're desperately short in defence and the defensive midfield area!!
Not sure he can admit that without effectively saying I ain't good enough for this job

It’s not a night for knee jerk reactions but if ever we needed a big, strong, physical presence up front it was tonight. Looked a bit lightweight all over the pitch. Bizarre, in my view, to withdraw McGuane. He was offering more than Kane or Brannagan, neither of those two could seemingly keep the ball and move forward with it, just predictable sideways passing whereas McGuane looked to play into feet and be a bit more adventurous. Much better when Sykes was on the pitch, Holland is an impact player off the bench - poor from him.

Brown has a swollen ankle and could be out for a while. ‘It doesn’t look good’ so says KR.

So, McNally comes back and Long comes back on Saturday. That helps but we again look short in defence and not in a Jake Wright kind of way.

Might be a blessing that Brown is already crocked. We were warned that he could be another Grayson and I haven't seen anything in his first two games to disprove that. McNally & Moore should definitely be the starting CBs.

And as a side issue I think I'd prefer Chambers-Parillon or even Elechi at LB ahead of Seddon. Although unfortunately I suspect C-P may still be recovering from injury/Covid.

Massive chance missed. Win would’ve taken us 3rd (joint 2nd)

We improved when Brown went off and we played quicker. Same as Saturday 😅

If McNally and Long aren't back for Sat, and if Brown is injured, then what, it's gonna have to be:

Forde Mousinho Moore Seddon

as our back 4 on Sat....and no defensive midfielder in front of them? And no cover on the bench?!
Hmm....😩🙈

tonight wasnt the sort of game for show ponies like Mcguane & Holland IMO

both talented, skilful players, but both the conditions and 'Stanley basically dictating the game, we had a pair of lightweights until they were replaced with Sykes and Winnall who both, at least, in different ways had a go

Baldock was lively after he came on too

Gotta give credit to Accrington here, they put in a real performance and well deserved the 3 points. No time wasting at all.

Seddon played well tonight but he does look like he needs a rest. Any left backs out of contract we can sign? Doubt it.

Hope browns injury isn’t too serious as we seriously light at the back now. Hope McNally is okay and thoughts are with him, just shows there is more to life than football. We go again Saturday COYY

What’s your point?.
A very simple point - Accrington aren’t a good side, we are (as you’ve shown) - hence we should be beating them.

What’s yours? Accrington are better than us?

Thought we missed Bodin tonight, not only are his deliveries from corners / free kicks great but his link up play and the way he holds up the ball is better then anything we had tonight. Defence is a real worry , Moore, mcnally, long all capable of defending but brown, Seddon, forde are not good enough!

I think the pitch and conditions hampered our style of play massively as well tonight, that can’t be underestimated the ball was bouncing all over the shop when dribbling through. Sykes had a few runs down the left and the ball kept sticking which stopped the momentum massively, in other conditions I think we may have seen a different result here. Only option we had was a long ball forward which isn’t any good for someone like Taylor, needed a big unit up there tonight.

tonight they were

theyre a mid- lower mid table league 1 side, with a manager who generally gets the best out of the limited resources at his disposal

on paper we should beat them, on a wet tuesday night in Feb, playing on grass (with a weave), they beat us- we had 3 cleared off the line plus that miss by Taylor, any one of them goes in and we get at least a point
