General New Stadium Plans - Stratfield Brake

I'm a "young" exile who will probs increase my home attendance from 2/3 home games per year to about 10/15 - more if we're making moves in the Championship.

Thatโ€™s great, I am not actually knocking exiles, I am one with a season ticket. I was just pointing out that the club will obviously build a stadium with people from the locality in mind, thatโ€™s where the future prosperity of the club lays.

We also haven't seen detailed plans yet. It could be the case that there's one complex stand with retail, offices, hospitality etc and the rest (hopefully 3 others) are pretty basic with nothing other than seats, kiosks and toilets which would be much quicker to build.

I'm not expecting The New Manor to have an Allianz Arena style colour changing LED exterior either!
You may be surprised then!

I assume the name of the stadium will be The <insert huge sponsor name here> Stadium ;)

Well where are you more likely to increase your fan base from? Oxfordshire or elsewhere?
This has got very strange. I simply expressed an interest in knowing what proportion of fans who regularly attend come from outside the immediate Oxford area (and perhaps a look at that demographic) - it is obvious that the bulk of the fanbase come from the local vicinity and that marketing and promotion will primarily be aimed at such.

On the lesser side, there are also a reasonable number of exiles and lapsed fans who are not local who, for any number of reasons, attend few or no games at all, who can be enticed to attend semi-regularly by an attractive new ground, higher level football and a leisure complex. I was also questioning whether the exile base is just getting older or perhaps as people leave the area for college and jobs (and by definition become exiles) that isn't the case. You seem keen to turn a few observations into a 'right' or 'wrong' argument.

Stadium MK and surrounding area planning 2003, construction started 2005 finished mid 2007 so ours is doable in 4.5 years we have before kassam lease runs out.
Don't be constrained by that. Of course it would be ideal to be in a new stadium by that date but if we are close to completion, there is a short term deal to be done to play at the Kassam for half or one whole season. He will want planning permission for his next project and so will want to keep councillors onside at that point.

You may be surprised then!

Do we have plans of the stadium they wish to build then? Obviously the other amenities around the stadium will change quite a bit as the process goes on but it would be lovely to see some elevation plans of the proposed stadium and some artists impression of the exterior/interior. Then we will get excited. ๐Ÿ™‚
