I think Oxford City Council want to develop Oxpens for office space ( I maybe wrong ) something being muted in the OM last year I believe, so with the SB appearing to be including an ice rink then that’s win win for OCC

The whole area around Oxpens and up to the station is ripe for redevelopment, including of course the station, which will include more platform capacity south of the Botley Road. Getting rid of the Ice rink will help to regenerate that whole area no end!

In other news, I emailed my local councillor and she very kindly emailed me back thanking me for sharing my opinion about the stadium.

People opposed to something always tend to be more vocal than those for something so it'll be useful if you could email your local councillors

Not to mention the ice rink is running at a loss currently due its age and footfall isn't that great, Oxford city council can't wait to get shot of it. As for other leisure on that site it will be interesting what sort of leisure and wether that means the ozone gets knocked down and developed.
