It’s not a bad point you make, I moved away four years and it’s an hour 10 drive back to the ground, lucky enough to be able to park at my cousins in greater keys but I don’t bother with away games anymore as home games are enough money /effort. New ground will be better for me by train but not by car, at least it will be a few beers and a better day out though.
But you could can’t build a stadium perfect for the likes of me and Essex, it has to be for local people to grow the support, I am not going to be bringing a load of people with me, there is no market in Hampshire where I live to build support for Oxford United but there is in Oxford/shire.
Being an exiled supporter is a choice, the club can’t do much to improve the UK transport network so I either suck it up or don’t go, a new ground will be built to optimise support from the local area.
