Switched off his pressing on defender and Allsop. Bad mistake.
To quote Robinson on RadOx after the match, when asked about the moment that Browne turned his back rather than simply jogging towards the ball:

“……he’s in, isn’t he? He’s in.”

One of numerous mistakes by multiple players that night. Just one of those horrible games where fate has decided you’re not having it. Play that match another nine times and all of those things don’t happen again.

Anyway, I’m more interested in the future, and the idea of an actual covering full back. I think my trousers might spontaneously combust if that comes to pass.

Mistake. Not a bad one, and if it had been defended properly it would never have been mentioned.

I never understand why some are so quick to apportion blame, especially when it's so rarely deserved.
I don't blame Browne alone. The whole game consists of such errors. And the team that was better focused* on the game went to the Championship.

*Sorry for my Clotet's f-word

Wondered that...a bit like Obita. Very attacking player who got double figures from full back last year. Would make sense and helps with the balance of the squad.
Double figures? He scored once for us and I think he only played a handful of games for Wycombe as he was injured quite a bit.

We will sign 3 players by the end of next week, 2 permanent, one loan, forward, full back and winger maybe 4 central defender

It wasn’t just Browne not tracking back, or Henry shooting instead of passing, or Moore ducking underneath a free header, or Eastwood coming flying out of his goal like a madman that cost us, it was the whole side underperforming that day that cost us.

But my god, we’ve had a whole season, and a worldwide pandemic since then, I think it’s about time we all moved on! 😂

No we need to blame Henry for not shooting instead trying to pass to Taylor then we can finally move on

The way people go on about this you wouldn’t think Henry executed the pass well, only for the stud of some incredible last ditch defending to take the ball away from Taylor and a tap in.

Still think it was the right decision… (logs off)

Yeah b****r me why not go back and blame Eastwood against Swindon and whoever messed up at Northampton cos with those points we might not have been in the playoffs!
In fact if Joey had scored that one against Borough in the last minute of extra time back in 93 maybe just maybe just maybe things would’ve been different *

*note made up thing. Not a real game!

Too right. If we'd beaten Stevenage that day Westley might have been our manager instead - we'd probably be in the Champions League now.

If only we’d have kept Ramon Diaz and his South American players we would be in the top 30 sides in the world not just England bloody kassam and his journeys

Emiliano Diaz certainly had the potential and talent to drive us up through the leagues*
