Would we be saying the same if we were paying that type of money for a player with his record? I don’t think so. It would be endless screams of “WE ARE ABANDONING OUR MODEL!”
I would say it's a similar signing to Jamie Mackie apart from we don't know the ins and outs of the money side of it.

Imagine being 1up at Wycombe with 20 minutes to go, to then see Vokes and Akinfenwa come on up top for them😬

It depends.... If a player like that came here on an 'ordinary' wage then I'd be delighted for the reasons I mentioned. Goals aren't everything, even for strikers. Although it's not my money, I'd rather be fair to my squad and have a wage structure that everybody buys in to and has to earn the right for our top wage through good performance, loyalty etc - whatever that looks like. He will go in there and rub shoulders with people who know he is on 4 or 5 times the wage. It doesn't bode well for the dressing room.

Time will tell whether he's worth the money but say he's on anything similar to Charlie Wyke and I'd say nobody in League One is worth that. It's not worth jeopardising your financial future to sign any player in my book.

What kr says can change with the wind, hence the continued talk from him of wanting two wingers. He know who he wants, and therefore would feature in a starting 11.
Do you portray yourself as superior over people in other walks of life as well? It's an opinion of nonsense is it, when someone expresses a view? Do you not have the ability to simply comment on the content of post?

Erm, the bits you highlighted in bold were in reference to the content of the post.

They referred to what KR says about changing the front 3 and also to what KR has continually done - changing the front 3. KR does not, and never has had, a fixed starting 11.

So yes, I conclude that your opinion is utter nonsense.

I invite you to re-read what I've highlighted in bold without cringing.

Don’t get me wrong, good signing for them as will probably suit there style, and I doubt many players have a good goals to games ratio playing for Burnley in the prem.
if he hits double figures I’d be surprised tho and if we signed him he’d get slaughtered by some for not getting 20 😅
Absolutely. Some strikers just are not goal scorers and some people just can't get their heads around the fact that that is OK! It's part of the reason that the genuine natural goal scorers get paid and bought for the most money - because it's the hardest thing in football to score a goal! But Say he came here and only scored 5, but he helped Taylor get to 25 due to the chaos he's likely to cause in the box, would we credit him for that? We should.

Wycombe have done very well, they almost stayed up. They didn’t break the bank so they have a few quid to bring in decent players and try to get up again. They could be the WBA of the Championship/League1
Actually that is what we should be trying to achieve, after supporting the Yellows for 55 years I see us as a mid tier 2 side with the occasional relegation to tier 3 then promotion
I would dispute the fact that they nearly stayed up - they were adrift all season and won the last few games when it was effectively all done and dusted. They never realistically looked like surviving and the final table didn't really reflect that.

Cardiff have another friendly tonight vs good opposition so I think it's make or break for him tonight. Suspect he will get least 45 mins and if he's anything less than superb, he'll be elsewhere by end of the week.

Impressive Loans for Sheffield Wednesday. A few of these now seem to be happening and points to the loan market finally opening up (always much later in the transfer window).

BP-F apparently on £18k a week. Either Burnley are feeling extraordinarily generous or the EFL are asleep, not for the first time.

Yep. Not bad for a backup keeper for a pretty unglamorous, bottom half PL side like Burnley. Can’t imagine why Jack Stevens would want to go to a club like Aston Villa if a bid surfaced!

Imagine being 1-1 vs Wycombe, on top and both Marcus Browne and Calamity Eastwood contrive to throw our Championship status away.........

Just slowly a few other teams are starting to bring in more and more players.....let's hope we're not being left behind, I can't wait to see who we bring in....🤞🏽

Are we being left behind by these teams that are basically saying it’s win and get promoted or it’s bust personally if we are being left behind because we are not prepared to go down that route that’s fine I would rather have a team in league one to support than no team at all.,, please can we have something interesting to get excited about some decent rumours it’s been quite a boring transfer window this summer for us (so far)

I’ve heard we’re in for an out of contract striker called Noel Arckle
