Think it will be won or lost depending how the back four cope, we can score goals, the midfield looks strong, but its games like this where maybe an experienced old head like Mous may be needed to keep the youngsters calm under pressure.

Let’s embrace the moment, 2-1 Oxford, Taylor x2, we are going up

Disagree . Exeter turned over a 2-0 defecit at half time in our second leg with them. The tie is won in the second leg not the first.
And that's at their place with their fans present. Got to make the first leg count as we're at home.

Two teams with an excellent recent record, one with a good defensive record playing one that has been scoring goals for fun.

I suspect we will (as always) have to weather an initial 15 minutes of pressure. If we can come out of that unscathed and get our passing game together I'd be optimistic of a good result tonight.

Would rather be the team that scored goals than the one that has a good defence.

For various reasons, injuries, suspensions, loss of form, opposition form etc, I doubted this squad of players could deliver on a few occasions this season, but without fail, they delivered on each occasion. Who would have thought we’d be in the play offs after our start to the season?
But we are, and I have faith in Karl and the boys to deliver again.
Come on you yellows.
Yeah I have to admit, even though I try not to be TOO negative, I thought this season was over weeks ago.

I’m just glad Robbo and the lads didn’t give up on it as easily as I did!

finishing work in the next 20 mins.... looking forward to a couple of swift prematch tipples at the 'bird this avo... then on to the breeze block for the match UTM

With 12 of the 15 players who got pitch time at Wembley last season still at the club, I'm hoping a massive desire to "put it right" will see us through. COYY.
Got to get their first! And I think it’s all about the day e.g. who wants it most. Yes, I’m sure last year’s experience could help, but then it might add additional pressure. Just hope we smash Blackpool and whoever we get in the final if we make it.

Tonight’s man in the middle is Wakefield born Bobby Madley, 35 who returned to officiating in the EFL last year.
Madley has taken charge of 34 matches this season issuing 111 yellow cards and 5 reds.

First U’s match - December 4th 2010 Oxford U 2-1 Barnet

Last U’s match - December 1st 2020 Oxford U 0-0 Ipswich
He was the 4th official for our play off final in 2010!

Now there’s a face you can rely on...

Ffs I can’t stop thinking about Jaffa Cakes now!

Best stop off at the shop on the way home, and pick some up as a pre match snack! 😂

Think largely depends on who plays right back. Is Longy fit? We have to take it to them and dominate possession in both legs - they are too fast on the break otherwise and can hurt us but hoping for a 2-0/3-1 and then a draw away. COYY this is our time. Have fun everyone at the game - be that 12th man to get us over the line

Our attendance today as been limited to a socially distanced 4000 for the League One playoffs, I remember a few Tuesday night games in non-league where we struggled to muster 4000 for a regular league game. This club has come a long way since then so I'm going to relax and enjoy this one, I'm still surprised and impressed we made it this year, and I hope the players play with less pressure this time. We're the underdogs, hopefully we use it to our advantage!
