play off final last season!?
We lost to god awful side, I tried to forget but thanks for reminding me!

Looking back, it felt good making the playoffs, but we only made them as the season finished at the perfect time, it was so tight between the sides there was no guarantees we would have finished there.

When it came to challenging in the playoffs the Pompey game was poor from both sides and we scraped through on penalties.

We then lost to a shocking side in Wycombe in embarrassing fashion, we had all the quality to beat them and lost from them "wanting it more" in a playoff final?!?!

So Robbo gets some credit for that good run that took us into the playoffs but let's not kid ourselves on what happened after!

Agyei is far better in the air than Winnall now also holds the ball up well so he should have come on before Winnall hiwever 4/5?years ago Winnall would have been nailed on as our no 1 striker with Taylor being on the bench, but not now sorry but Winnall has to go at the end of the season.
As regard next season if and it is an if the takeover is complete will they want to break the ffp rules and pay the fines to attract the players we need to get into the championship.
KR saying we were the better team and we were kicking into the wind? He is saying the club are missing the fans, after today’s game there would have been a lot of Booing and some sort possibly calling for Robbo’s head, does he not know what planet were on.
I don't think we need to break FFP to get promotion. If we've got rich owners, the need to have a "must sell" price goes, and we can keep hold of Stevens, Moore, Atkinson, Long, Brannagan rather than sell. The talk of us going in permanently for McGuane (as just been confirmed by Jerome on RadOx) would also be a statement signing, but I don't think he'd command a ridiculous fee. I think the new owners would give us the opportunity to compete with the likes of Hull, Peterborough, Pompey, Sunderland and Ipswich for certain players, and where we might have missed out on players because of financial reasons (eg Whyte to Hull, Browne to Boro), we may be able to pull deals off that were just out of reach before, and may not have to go down the panic buy route when the players we wanted in the past have fallen through. It would be good to be raiding sides in League 2 rather than taking punts on Northern Irish talents that may or may not come good for a cheaper price.

Three years of mediocrity and bullshit from kr, three years of standing still. He got the support he wanted, but it has'nt worked. Time for a change; new board new manager.
Can't agree. This is a division with many clubs that are bigger than OUFC with much bigger budgets. Mid table is about right. Play off final last season was over achieving.

Daft post. Last season was great fun up until the game at Wembley.

In a world where binary opinions seem to be expected of everyone, I’ll go against the grain and say I’m somewhere in the middle with KR. In an ideal world I’d bottle his enthusiasm, his commitment to local causes and his attitude to youth with the cold, steeliness or MApp who I never liked much as a person but admired for his football and coaching prowess. Mix those characteristics together and we’d have one hell of a manager.

But isn’t that totally the point?

If we have no real ambition or money to progress as we stand, it’s time for a change isn’t it?

Cameron is still head and shoulders above the rest of the midfield never mind the rest of them. I am afraid Im about to climb on the Robbo out bus that was shocking subs.
That just shows how poor the rest of the midfield have been
