The pitch is an absolute disgrace. A village spinner could get wickets on that. There should be an enquiry and someone should be held to account.

I’m sure the Australians had the best spinner in the business Shane Warne, and never created pitches that spun 90’c on Day1.

A test wicket is supposed to be a reasonably even contest between bat and ball. This is so far away from that as to make this only watchable as some sort of car crash cricket rather than as a test match.
There won't be an enquiry as India hold so many of the word cricket cards. If India had been obliged to play on a green top in WI that was similarly ridiculous there would be one.

And the local commentary team know that. That is why they are attempting to divert attention away from the pitch by putting it back on the teams batting.

On that, when did India last get 130 odd in a first innings at home? That should be enough for anyone to suggest that the pitch is a disgrace

Thats what I’ve being saying all long mate. It’s a disgraceful pitch, and the last two matches have been ruined. Two super powers in world cricket going at it, and the fans from around the world have been robbed of two top test matches. I’m pretty sure the next will be the same.
