So what should Crewe have done last night?
They wanted to shut the club down, as they decided we had a ‘cluster’. Would have meant the next 5 matches PP. The club then essentially entered negotiations with PHE, and struck a deal that we can play again once everyone is tested and get the all clear. This all happened on Monday/Tuesday, meaning not enough time to test ahead of last night. The FL have been involved as well, and want to keep it all under wraps as they don’t want PHE ‘getting involved in football’. Hence the aloof statements we read yesterday.
Two more things. I am not an employee of Crewe, this is just what I have been told by someone who knows what they are talking about. Also, test and trace take a bow. It took them 9 days to get in touch with Crewe. 9 whole days. Disgracefully inept.
You wait for an age for a clean sheet then two come along at once.
So why haven't have all clubs had to do this following multiple positives? There you go... a simple answer provided by you to what should have happened to Crewe.
Play by the rules the rest of the population have to.
If you were a pub or a venue you get shut, no choice, no deals.
I’m not sure that’s accurate. The information was in the public sphere about the positive tests. It’s up to PHE/test and trace to get in touch if they think there is an issue. As explained here already your clubs blatant irresponsibility precedes last night.
You failed to fulfil the fixture, whilst trying to "keep it quiet" from PHE guided (allegedly) by the EFL.
I hope your club gets what is coming to them (points deduction, fine, PHE kicking the front door in) but the EFL seem to prefer to sweep such things under an ever lumpier carpet.
Well PHE evidently disagree as they have decided against that (although if a load of our players test positive in the tests this week then I am sure we will be shut down)There you go... a simple answer provided by you to what should have happened to Crewe.

Liverpool, Stevenage, Tranmere and Wigan for example.
Grimsby did and postponed 3 games in total but only had one positive test (publicly)
Orient got kicked out of the cup after 17 positives and then postponed one further match.
The consistency across the game is woeful.
Doubt it otherwise 50% of football matches would be off.If true, I wonder why PHE intervened? Not happy with Crewe's protocols over the past couple of weeks maybe? Didn't want a group from a high risk area travelling to a lower risk area at this time?
And all this information from a bloke down the pub? Astounding.Well PHE evidently disagree as they have decided against that (although if a load of our players test positive in the tests this week then I am sure we will be shut down)
No.And all this information from a bloke down the pub? Astounding.

No probs. I’ll leave you all to it then.Indeed. It's hardly 'North Stand Toilets' when it comes to source quality, is it?
Simple question Beckles didn’t isolate why? You live said on her that you have to isolate for 10 days from the test, did Beckles isolate? I will answer that he didn’t, but having heard Artell and his comments I can only assume nothing will happen to Beckles on the form of disciplinary action. Finally what haven’t heard as you claim in a earlier threadFirstly, Bazzer I would like to reply to you, but I genuinely have no idea what your point is. Maybe write it all in one post and I’ll see if I can answer.

No arsey replies but questions to your claims. Which you seem to bypass. I asked a series of questions as I have only just come on here as I’ve been busy, hence why the many posts containing questions, but you haven’t even tried to answer one. Now if that’s arsey well that beggars belief. No probs. I’ll leave you all to it then.
I mean, I never said I met this individual down the pub. We were in the pub together last night. We entered together, and we left together. You can go to the pub with your friends.
Anyway, that’s me done. I thought it wrong that fans were being kept in the dark. I heard what happened (well what Crewe claim happened) so thought it right to share it. I didn’t come here for arsey replies. If you hear any more news, it won’t be from me. And you certainly will never hear the truth from Crewe, because they have always been very secretive.
How long will that take? Remember they haven’t a vaccine for SARS or HIVBut in our great city we have a group of people working on a vaccine to save the world!
I don't know exactly what PHE are doing with COVID, but they are they will be doing things like sequence analysis from different patients to try and identify how local outbreaks are spreading, and I know they have "advised" other businesses under other circs (e.g. outbreaks of food poisening in restaurants etc.), so it wouldn't surprise me if they had been involved in this.I'm still confused as to why PHE got involved at all. Could someone explain?
Also what is it that PHE have said is the reason and what is the reason, waiting on @Crewe to answer as he said he had received some information a short while back.I don't know exactly what PHE are doing with COVID, but they are they will be doing things like sequence analysis from different patients to try and identify how local outbreaks are spreading, and I know they have "advised" other businesses under other circs (e.g. outbreaks of food poisening in restaurants etc.), so it wouldn't surprise me if they had been involved in this.
What I don't understand is that if this was called off following advice from PHE, why haven't Crewe said that? It would surely hace cleared things up and saved a lot of bad feeling all round. I've had a quick google around, and can find nothing linking PHE to this. Is there any evidence, other than posts on here that they are involved?
