Transfer News Transfer window 2020/21

If it's to QPR it won't be a massive fee as they are in debt and won't pay silly money .Wish he was going somewhere else tbh

Let’s be honest. As fans we that arsed what the fee is aslong as we use it to fill the last 2 squad spots with 2 quality signings.

They've just got £19.5m for a player and have already paid out £2m to Livingston for a striker.
Still are in a massive hole financially and exactly, £2 mil for a striker isn't much at all in Championship , they are not big hitters such as Leeds/ WBA who would throw an extra 500k at it.
Sold there best player to C Palace who historically are hardly a bigger side .

£2m for a striker from the SPL minnows Livingston who I imagine haven't seen that sort of fee ever before.

A striker for £2 mil , how much will they pay for a centre half from ' minows ' in league 1? Not a lot more I would say ....they are not big spenders .

They are not big spenders , shopping at Livi anyway is the point I'm making
They do not splash out anymore than they need to.
He’s there number 1 target though which means they’d be willing to pay a bit more . Got to be looking at nearer 3.5 for him.

Jerome and Nathan saying that 'we ought to hold out for a seven figure sum' for Dickie. If that's all we can get, I'd keep him for his last contracted season.

Yes I think they are underplaying it especially with the rumours coming from the QPR end on the fee.

Not convinced by the comments being made about Grigg not coming because he won't be top dog...

As others have said, he can't reasonably expect to walk into a L1 club and be first choice given his form over the last season and a half (?). However, if he's a good professional, he could expect and believe in himself to come in and force his way (back) into that position.

Given Taylor's fitness at times last season, I think Grigg could expect to be given a chance in some games - be it cup games, or Tuesday night games, or in a more straight forward rotation. He could also be sure of getting at least 20 mins a game to begin with as a sub, as I don't think we'll see Taylor doing a full 90 too often. If he scores in that 20 minutes and looks sharp, he might find himself starting.

I saw a suggestion a while back that Taylor was taking a very cautious approach to his injuries last season... sitting out where maybe he could have played. I don't know if this is true or not, but having a name like Grigg around might give Taylor that extra bit of encouragement to play a bit more. I'm not making a dig at Taylor - I don't know if there's any truth in what was posted before; despite it, he got enough goals.

If Grigg and Robinson believe that he can hit form with us, I guess the only reason for him not coming would be wages and what percentage of them we would be paying - if it works financially, its not the worst of gambles.

I completely agree with this... we have two / three months of potentially 6-8 games, so would be playing Saturday / Tuesday or such like. Having the squad depth this year with been so crucial.
