Recruirment had been awful since he got here but it was brilliant last year therefore its awful and his fault?

Its not even his job!

One too many tonight bazzer?

You genuinely believe kr has no say in the recruitment of players?
He's clever, he takes credit when it seems to go right, and its other peoples fault when it goes wrong, e.g. Hanson.

Typical kr, he corrected Nathan in his interview, "we" are responsible for the recruitment not "he". Both kr and the keystone cops in the recruitment dept need to go.
I keep asking the question about who the 'recruitment team' are. The answer always seems to be that it is KR, ST plus some other bloke. It's not a twenty man panel.
We don't have a Director Of Football who buys the players and a manager who then has to make do with what has been chosen - anyone who thinks KR is not a major factor in selecting the players is living in a very strange world.

Unfortunately someone is living in a strange world ( not you by the way )

Yes he is on a 4 year contract and it’s now time for Tiger to cut his losses and pay up KR’s contract. He’s played the same way all season and teams know and take the puss out of us
That would cost a lot of money and there’s no chance, Tiger is not one to splash the cash with no obvious chance of a return.

We look like a team of complete strangers, no momentum or continuity of play. And that is due to the stop start of our Covid season. It would be better to have a full 2 weeks off with a proper Covid case than what we have had with every other game cancelled spoiling any continuity we could have. And for a team that has been notoriously slow starters for the last 2 years having to keep starting again is proving impossible. Crewe really stretched the rules to cancel the game twice until they were ready to play and in form. Ok they are really a bunch of absolute cheats and if the EFL had anything about them they will get a 5 point deduction. And swindon. We are too honest, in the game and out of the game. We should have taught Crewe a lesson tonight and got them to the ground and then found a way to cancel the game as we really had no chance of winning tonight. We need to start doing things to our advantage and stop accepting other teams crying off from a match when their third reserve player is ill and their under 18 coach has Covid, accepting rubbish changing room facilities at away games when we keep giving our opponents the best on offer, tonight Crewe not coming onto the pitch until after the scheduled kick off time we needed to protest far more, we need to kick up far more of a fuss when our players get fouled or we are appealing for a penalty. We just need to make sure we don't get relegated from here. If you can't win cheat is what everyone else seems to be doing and it is definitely working for them and we are very slow on the uptake.
Um....Crewe totally outplayed us tonight. The above is a list of excuses that does nothing to explain why they were so much better organised than us and superior in every department. I don’t think resorting to various forms of gamesmanship is going to overcome that issue.

Recruitment has been very good up until a few months ago. Has something changed? Also has Craig Short replaced Faz? At the moment that doesnt look like a great success. Funnily enough after the absolute heartache of the final nothing else feels that painful. My expectation has dropped so far that midtable survival would be acceptable. It should be easily acheivable shouldnt it?..........

Did KR take any responsibility for tonight I didnt get to hear his interview.

I feel sorry for Sean Clare, he's gonna be on the end of so much stick and will be consistently singled out as a poor performer.

The problem is that he's not a right back, has never played at right back (a few stints as a wing back) and is trying to learn it every game. He's going to be making mistakes multiple times a game and he looks so uncomfortable.

Yet at times when he goes forward you can see has pace, can get round a man, can get a cross in and can make some good runs. For me he looks like he'd a useful winger at this level and something we're lacking. It's a shame we'll keep persisting with him in a position he can't play in.
Correct - he should start at RW on Saturday instead of Henry and scare the Wigan defence with his pace, his cross across the 6 yard box tonight was different class, we’re currently screwing him up at RB.

Tonight has to be a wake up call or we're in real trouble. There must be something going wrong behind the scenes here that goes beyond recruitment and match day tactics. Senior players letting themselves down and giving in to frustration, reliable journeymen pros looking like they're constantly being pushed beyond their ability and a bunch of kids running around energetically but going into blind panic when they get the ball or see an opponent within 3 yards. And so so many stupid fouls!

Robinson is a purist and has arguably over-delivered, especially last season. I'm very forgiving of managers like him who stick to their guns and even have some sympathy for his obsession with pacy wingers given how fundamental that is to his style. But... we simply don't have blinding pace and exceptional young talent in those key KR positions this year (Browne, Whyte, Holland etc) yet insist on playing as though we do. It's madness. Purists, idealists, like Robinson need realists (like faz?) to keep them grounded. This lot look over-coached and under prepared for the fight.

There was a moment 5 mins in tonight where ruffels picked up the ball half way into the Crewe half with a gaping hole on their left flank then stopped dead to point out where shadipo should be running. The kid was hanging around level on the wing waiting for the ball or a bus or having a chat with one of Crewe's superspreader subs for all I know. Last season a decent but limited ruffels would have just played that ball and started running back to position without even asking the question of his winger. Exactly as Crewe did all night. In league one most teams, most of the time are 7/8 decent enough players doing the basics right so 2/3 slightly better colleagues can make things happen. It looked like even Sam Long was being asked to spray the ball around like Pirlo - with predictable results.

So onto Wigan. A winnable game. Let's see some pragmatism, some respect for the players we have by playing them in the right position and with realistic expectations. We're fundamentally a half-decent mid-table side with enough about us at full strength to creep up the table, but with enough weaknesses to be vulnerable at any moment. A bit of humility in other words.
Couple of things here im not sure i agree with.

Robinson over achieved? Im not sure. He got us to the playoffs sure but he/we seriously fluffed our lines. We had a decent couple of cup games, a 6 or 7 out of ten season for me. Hes not in Appy levels of achievement, but he did build a decent team.

Also this were a mid table team- i dont know where this confidence is coming from. We dont look remotely like a team who can break the promised land of mid table. We are complete and utter crap in every department. Thats not miraculously going to change. Weve just been annihilated at home by a lower mid table team. Thats a good indicator.

We need Cam back asap. Nobody seems able to get on the ball and make things happen, Endless going sideways and backwards usually ending up with an aimless hoof up the field. Could anybody tell me what Craig Shorts role is? Feels like another Sean Derrry and I dont remember that going very well.

swindon lost 3-0!

Players like Cooper and Agyei play well and are rewarded by not even getting a place in the squad. Players like Clare, Ruffels, Henry and Kelly are constantly picked no matter how poorly they play. It’s madness
I'd say what's worse is that Cooper and Agyei don't even play THAT well..i.e. setting the game alight with goals lately.

Got at least 3-4 weeks yet for CB..

The problem I think is under KR we always start slowly losing more than we win it’s happened since he walked through the door 🤔 I’m also wondering whether the players are struggling to play with no fans in the ground clutching at straws I know but after last night need to try and find something because KR certainly don’t know why we’re so s**t
