Yep, saw that and even got the question right. Oddly enough, Charlie Methven sets some questions on Only Connect, wonder if this was one of his.
Increasingly implausible and ridiculous, but moves along at pace and is watchable. The recent Idris Elba vehicle 'Hijack' was in the same vein.Over the long weekend I binge watched "Who Is Erin Carter?" a netflix series about an ex-pat English teacher in Barcelona with a "mysterious" past.
Utterly unbelievable in places but good fun if you like action thrillers like The Bourne films / Long Kiss Goodnight / Nikita / The Accountant etc.

Some whopping score this team got, even though Jamie looks like a mass murderer.
Just watched Ep 1 over the weekend, interested to see where it heads.Over the long weekend I binge watched "Who Is Erin Carter?" a netflix series about an ex-pat English teacher in Barcelona with a "mysterious" past.

I watched The Reckoning with Steve Coogan about Jimmy Saville. It was brilliantly done, but I found it incredibly hard and it took me a while to recover. As a docu-drama, it had been meticulously researched and the portrayal of Saville was chillingly realistic.
Anyone else watch it ?
I would broadly agree but I think what it demonstrated was how the collusion of the BBC and others was so instrumental in his crimes. I may not have appreciated that part previously.I watched bits of it. I made the mistake of reading a review in advance - the overall message was that it was generally well made and puts across the appropriate tone and Steve Coogan did a good job. However, the series did little to add to the existing knowledge we have of Savile and fails to really add a great deal.
Which I generally agree with.

I've been watching Soldier, it's rather sweet. Haven't got to the pornographic bits yet.Yeah and in hindsight I think I would have found it a much more compelling watch if I didn't go into it with the review fresh in my mind!! I should know better really, as I also let movie reviews too easily influence my approach to a new film.
Lately I've been watching Soldier,a BBC documentary about Infantry training. Very compelling, if slightly pornographic interpretation of the experience.
Haha if only - no it's more like the "phwoar look at how exciting the army is, and phwoar look there are pretty girls in it now too, let's 'ave it" approach.I've been watching Soldier, it's rather sweet. Haven't got to the pornographic bits yet.
The girls are feisty but everyone seems too nice to be a soldier.Haha if only - no it's more like the "phwoar look at how exciting the army is, and phwoar look there are pretty girls in it now too, let's 'ave it" approach.
