One day, we'll go a whole transfer window without mentioning Matty Taylor. One day.
Experts believe that the only way this can happen is by signing him.

Source?
3?
Taylor, Thorne and who’s the third
So can someone please explain why there are multiple (credible) media sources reporting his move to us? It cant all be a figment of the forums imagination?
His cousin doesnt pay his wages or employ him though, does he? As much as that may sound concrete to some, to me, thats just another voice in the crowd.
No disrespect intended but ill stick to the thoughts and opinions of those who are connected, directly, to the club.
If Taylor does go to Bristol Rovers it will be funny as we had people on here earnestly tell us that by debating the Ched Evans case we were putting the deal at risk as he would see it and be put off joining us - they literally have threads calling him a snake ?
Who are the other striker options if we are not in for Taylor, where are those names? I think if we (including the club) are in agreement that we need more than Mackie/Agyei (and, certainly from the earlier messages from the club, we do), then if we are NOT seriously in for Taylor, then who are we in for?
with that in mind, I do believe the view that we are in for him (we have to be, don't we??) and are ironing out the details on what we can offer.
I'd be happy with that!I think Sam Baldock will be one
I'd be happy with that!
as Agyei is permanent is the new striker target going to be a loan?
Because many people on here would like to be in the know but actually aren’t. Or are just recycling rumour posted elsewhere as fact to appear as such. Hell I think some posters make it up in the hope it happens!
Let’s be honest re Taylor. a person actually itk would’ve said Taylor was only in the tunnel to see his nephew. Almost straight after the game. But that was only posted on here after the same thing was reported elsewhere. As far as I’m aware.
As you say anyone at the club who is leaking this stuff to fans is actually putting deals at risk. But I would say the club have really done a good job in that regard this season.
Anyway I’m itk ;-)
I was talking to my mate Matty after the game and he said the picture in the tunnel was set up by his agent. Basically he had a move all setup and agreed to a championship club on deadline day. But at the last minute City increased the asking price and the deal fell through. Matty was pissed off with them because he’d been told he’d struggle for games this season and he wants first team football. He feels he hasn’t really been given a chance there.
He said he would love to come to Oxford as he feels he has unfinished business here and loves the club deeply. But we can’t afford to buy him and his wages are the problem at the minute. Working out what percentage we’ll pay. City want 75% but Oxford are holding out for 2%.
The picture in the tunnel was set up by his agent to raise awareness of his availability to all other league one clubs. And to try and force Oxford to agree to the 75%.
LMFAO see it’s easy.
FFP rulesWe can’t afford him, really??? - We’ve got a board of billionaires and we can’t afford him, how are we ever gonna progress ffs
