Bradford gain a point/don’t get three.

Scunthorpe win - bad but I don’t expect them to be hanging around the bottom half for long as they’ve had a strong transfer window.

Rochdale lose - not in the relegation zone yet but my certs for the drop. Struggling of late and offloaded a number of players.

Plymouth lose - Good.

So, whilst I’d rather points on the board than games in hand but we do have an opportunity to gain a few points on those below us and on a similar number of points. It’s been largely a good day in terms or watching the fellow strugglers not gain ground on us.

unlikely on paper, but, home win tues eve and we climb quite a few places .... quite a few places away from that relegation zone.
Draw will take us out of the relegation zone

Decent results but it’s a bit early to worry about other clubs, looks like being an average season points wise as well so we know what we need to do. 18 games to get 21 points, tricky but doable, need to avoid any long losing runs now and just chip away at that points total, we will lose a few but need to bounce back.

Be nice if other clubs can keep doing us favours obviously.

Hate to say it, but that's a perfect job for Michael Appleton.

Appleton was on Final Score earlier and was quizzed about the Luton managers position. Basically replied that it was down to the Luton board. Certainly got the feeling that he was very interested in it.

Agree that Peterborough might well approach him. They do get through their fair share of managers though.

Is MApp now on the lookout again then? I knew he was sticking to media work as part of his compensation from Leicester.

Yes definitely on the lookout, said he would be interested in manager or assistant position.

He would only go to a club that was progressive and matched his ambitions.

To be fair we stopped being a “progressive” club (that just means one that spends enough money to have a chance of success) well before the end of Eales run as owner, that’s why Appleton jumped ship, although Eales was better at paying tax bills.

He jumped because he knew Eales wasn’t going to spend much and was on his way out, Tiger is to blame for plenty but Eales is no saint, he certainly didn’t care who he sold to.

As much as we al despise them, Luton is a very happening club. Top of the league, new stadium. Very good set of players good fan base. It’s a way more attractive job than us sadly.
