Robinson is not the man

On a suck up mission to who my dear? I might not always get on with Charles or share his views, but do u know what I’d take him and what he says as an Oufc fan over ur bitter trolling everyday of the week.
Well said

I believe that under Pep we averaged 1.35 points per game, since he left .69 per game. If correct Pep was averaging twice as many points per game than any of his replacements have managed. Now where it went wrong was keeping Pep after the drumming by Wigan. The fear of relegation is the fault of mismanagement by the owner/s not Robinson or Faz. If we stay up, then we have the right man in Robinson to build for the future if given the resources he will need.

Absolutely spot on. Pep was hapless but probably would have kept us up. If he was to have gone then the time was just before Christmas.
Eales has landed the whole club in the soup with a series of poor decisions and rampant egotism. Tiger and KR may or may not be the real deal - time will tell - but the current mess has very little to do with them.
As Deep Throat told Woodward: 'Follow the money.' In this case, follow it out of Oufc's bank account, turn left, right, left onto the M40 and all the way to Solihull.
All in the interests of the club, of course (cue round of applause and official vote of thanks from the supporters trust for services to, erm, himself).

Wow I wish u had mentioned this sooner! Like maybe once a day or something
Yes truly takes the biscuit...and now for all your solutions all the naysayers to our predicament..sack KR...protest till Tiger leaves...send poison pen letters to those in charge...trust me Pep was dismissed for far more than results and there is no chance a successful businessperson is naive..calculated risk taker maybe.

Oh. Go on then tell us more as we can all play that game. Can even play it with the present day set up too. Eales is still trying to influence even though he is just a bad smell around the place

Enjoy your
Gents, excuse my radio silent but I'm in a land far far away with very little access to internet. In 1week I should be back home
So in the meantime try not to bite. All will come good.
Enjoy your holiday.
Bring us back something nice.

f*****g Hell. I thought the "infinite number of monkeys..." thing was just a cliched phrase, yet here it is, happening before my very eyes!

Mmm, I wonder. "Given unlimited access to a message forum a couple of trolls can smear, slander and slur to a seemingly infinite degree"?

Undoubtedly Jack was a good player, however to think that his departure was the reason for our current position is pushing it a bit. We are where we are and due to the fact that Eales sacked Pep nearly 3 weeks into the transfer window therefore giving very little time for bringing in at least one if not two strikers, tied Fazs hands. The time it took to get a replacement for Pep is also a major factor for our current plight. As good as Eales was for the club, I do believe he is responsible for all this.

True, and I don't think you'll find anyone who would argue that we SHOULDN'T have made a managerial appointment earlier. It's certainly contributed. Our decline is obviously not the result of just one factor, though, and I think Payne's departure had more of an impact than we realised it would at the time. I think perhaps the PPG thing is being viewed the wrong way round - instead of us getting 'worse' once he left, we actually were in a falsely high position when he was here because of how good he was - so we were 'better' when he was here, if that makes sense, as he was the difference between two otherwise evenly-matched lower table sides.

Not going to try and pretend I go to every game, don't live in Oxford so it's difficult, but in the few matches I did see him this year he looked an absolute class above L1 - and I think that bailed us out a bit in some matches. Oldham first match for example - JP instrumental in both goals, in a game where Oldham missed a couple of sitters, and went on to be bottom of the league for quite a bit of the start of the season. I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say he was the difference between us and them. It also probably explains that little 'win 3 / lose 3' pattern we had for a bit: teams learnt that if they just sat on JP and stopped him playing, Oxford would too. Since he's gone, we just haven't had the personnel or the system to match what he gave us, and our league position is reflecting that accordingly.

So I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that we were in a false position because of Jack Payne, as the displays where he was marked out of the game indicated, and now we have just regressed to the mean.

Yet again Robinson is In the press blaming someone but himself. More hit air and sound bites from him. He needs coaching in PR as his will all backfire very soon. Trust me.

It’s “hot air” and “sound bytes” and “this will” and “Don’t trust me”.

Back when pep was sacked Oxford fans were told they would go down and it was a massive mistake. Many laughed, many disbelieved, many abused. I guess this time next week this forum will be full of apologistic posters.

Apolowhatnow?

Having a blatantly obvious troll posting up, at least on the thread(s) said pet troll is partially interacting on, has something of a unifying effect on most YF posters, even those with personal spats ongoing are(almost) singing from the same songsheet so to speak when it involves this particular troll.

Some kind of unity on here in these current uncertain times,(whether we'll attain L1 survival or not- thanks in the most part to Peps tenure, and surprising signings and approach), is better than disharmony on YF I think

Cue this gem of an old Wigan Casino stormer especially for @Borntobeyellow ....

As ever, Sarge, chooooooon

Flipping this on it's head; what, precisely, would you be expecting a director to do in our current situation?

It’s called hands on management, in normal circumstances it would not be an issue, but in our position I feel that it is important that the Chairman should be at all of our remaining games. Still if I’m in the minority so be it, but it does not make me a mischief maker, just a concerned customer.

I can’t say whether you’re in the minority or not. But the fact that our Chairman, who lives in Thailand, is not going to be at a couple of games does not concern me in the slightest. Although, now I come to think of it, Obika’s concerned glances toward the Directors’ box before he attempted to “hold up” the ball on Tuesday may speak volumes.

I was under the impression the players where:

1. A little nervous about not winning
2. A bit worried about the reaction of the fans
3. A lot worried about their future and how they will pay mortgages and fee their kids (see point 1)
4. Some simply not good enough
6. Some care a little too much which can have a negative impact
7. On a disappointing run which has an impact on mentality and confidence so they under perform

My bad, I didn't realise Tiger not being in the country was the problem. Thanks for clearing that up. GET HIM IN THE CHANGING ROOM TO RUN THE TEAM!

I see an improvement game by game, we should have won 3-1 vs Fleetwood. Play like that against Sarfend, have a little luck in and around the box and we'll win.

BTW, credit to McAleny in not celebrating what was another thunderbolt from the lad. IF only.....

Never said he shouldnt or doesn’t. But we all know his view on Darryl very very well. so really no need to mention it daily in every post is there. What’s done is done. He must have the best allotment amount of time spent raking over old ground
You repeat your own views - that everything is hunky dory, we are staying up 'comfortably," Darryl is a legend - ad infinitum. Why should you be the only person allowed to repeat yourself?
In fact, almost every poster on this forum repeats himself. For instance, if I had a pound for every time that you and Foley said that teams below us were too far behind to catch up I would have a nifty in my pocket by now. As for raking up the past, how many times have you reminded me that I once said that Adams was a good appt by Tranmere??
Why do you not just either engage with the opinion or ignore it?
