So who’s for the chop, and who gets a new deal.
Any idea when this is announced? I’ve not heard anything!

With a reduced budget, you think it sensible to pay off two experienced, high-earners, both of whom positively contributed to the season just gone?Of the loans only go back for Browne
Pay off Mackie and Mous
No contract offer to Hall

Obika & shearer will be gone, be interesting to see how many of the lone players come back I don’t see us going back for Carruthers Graham. Sinclair & Garbutt we might but the budget will depend on that, Kashi I think will be the one if Mous becomes number 2, don’t see us get Browne back he’ll be in the championship
If we lose any of our top talents/valuable players in Eastwood, Dickie, Brannagan, Whyte then we need to reinvest once again
3/4 players won’t be enough more like 7/8 as we definitely need:
Right Back
2 Centre backs
Left Back (cover)
2 Wingers on the left
2 Strikers
Jack Steven is good enough to be number 2 so need to waste a wage there again plus get Rob Hall on a Mackie type of deal,

KR was suggesting that we would get in a right back but Long will cover for left back.If we lose any of our top talents/valuable players in Eastwood, Dickie, Brannagan, Whyte then we need to reinvest once again

CB of course we need to replace Nelson. The question is could Mous and Jones be back up?
Agreed re wide men although Hall could be one if those (?)
We definitely need 2 strikers one of those could be Sinclair?
No I agree 4th choice (although some young players improve very quickly so ul to him to.provd himself)For me Jones is 4th choice, fair play to him he’s ok/well but he’s still only 17 & is naive, as a caller on the Radio Ox said you wouldn’t want to be rely on him to be cover next season for more than a hand full of game, the next 2/3 years is all about developing to him to become a top player (like Bapiste)
think with a young squad it’s essential to have the experience that Mackie and Mous haveMous will likely move to a player coach role. And Mackie has played a massive part this season and isn’t on much as it’s a pay as u play deal. I’d be more than happy for them to see out their last year without the need to waste money paying off to very experienced professionals
Need more than 4. Atleast 6 new players. X2 CB, X2 Strikers, 1x Winger, 1x Full back.Soon, we have 13 players signed up for next season and new contract offers out to Nelson and Hall.
We also have plenty of youngsters to back up the squad like Jones, Lopez, Spasov etc.
The owners want to add 3 or 4 new players.
To put Erick Thohir’s words into context, he said 4 players added to the current squad. I think he’s assuming we’ll be able to retain the current players on loan that Robinson would like to keep, and then add 4 more to that. Potentially an interesting summer ahead..Need more than 4. We’ve got Mackie contracted for a further year but I hope we won’t be relying on him too much as one of our main strikers next year. I know he’s become a bit of a cult hero with his shithousery commitment and heart on sleeve displays, and he’s a very important personality to have around the squad to help the younger players, but it can’t be ignored that he doesn’t score enough goals and there’s a suspicion that his legs have gone. A great impact sub when we need to close a game out but I hope we’ll be looking for better if we aim to challenge in the upper reaches of the division next season.

It’ll be interesting to see if Bolton and Ipswich can be competitive next season or if their respective declines will continue. I also think Sunderland will still be with us next season. If he meant on top of the current squad then that would be a potential promotion chasing squad.
The question is will the league be as competitive next season or not.
Mackie is a 100% keep in my book.Of the loans only go back for Browne
Pay off Mackie and Mous
No contract offer to Hall
We'll keep Mackie and Mous.Mackie is a 100% keep in my book.
Need wingers aswell Whyte will have international games and you cant rely on Hall to be fit every week. We'll keep Mackie and Mous.
We'll need a RB, CBx2, STx2. Probably LB cover if Garbutt doesn't return. Plus, it all depends on how many of this seasons loanee's return and if we sell anyone.
I was including wingers in the 'if the loanee's return' category!!Need wingers aswell Whyte will have international games and you cant rely on Hall to be fit every week.

Am not ITK, but I wouldn't be surprised if Dickie is off. Not sure I believed the Luton 'illness' story tbh. If he is refusing to sign a contract extension, he will have to go this summer.. he's good enough for one of the bigger L1 teams/squad player for mid table Championship
