New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Considering peak generation for solar will be in the summer when we don't play, and our peak demand will be in the winter when generation is low, this is quite a good question.
Surely we could store it maybe Nick down from the Botley solar farm what’s a few units of electricity going missing what harm, Maybe Dean Court might have a blackout for a coupe of hours.

The anti stadium brigade are in total silence and pretty much have been since the attempted money grab from kpc
Could well have missed this, but how did the Fail report the announcement? Was it hidden away or just on the OUFC news.

The garage floor is swept.

The pointing on that block word is tidy AF.

Beautiful solar installation.

Karcher pressure washer in the corner.

... This is a man who knows his onions.

Just off camera there's a massive stack of vintage porn (covered by a bit of tarp) and two crates of p*ss weak 'Biere D'Alsace' in those stubby wee bottles your grandad buys.

For when @Manorlounger needs some 'me' time.

Sounds like you've visited, what was it? Little tug together in the deck chairs?

I think they've been knocked for six by the backlash from the KPC money grab. Wouldn't be surprised if a number of members have left the organisation out of pure shame too.

I would imagine that the 'money grab' backlash was a wake up call for KPC as well.

A massive shame, they allowed themselves to be lied too, by horrible deceitful people, and have let down the whole of the Kidlington community, and the rest of Oxfordshire of something very big. Stratfield Brake would have been something very spectacular with an Ice Rink added, and other outlets. Ie more restaurants, and shops, and more for kids to enjoy, more state of the art sporting facilities.

These few members of FOSB are anything but Friends of this area! They were only interested in their own selfishness, and they are serial protesters. They have let down perhaps a generation, aswell as the local parish council.

I'd love to know the, proper reason, for the U-turn from Stratfield brake to the triangle.
Has it actually been mentioned in full ,cause I can't recall or remember why???
Only some ,bits& pieces....

Basically SB has a lease of 90 years left to run it would of needed the permission from kpc, CDC and occ to release the land which I think kpc wouldn't budge on that. The triangle own by occ was easier to get at

I don't think the club did enough to sell the dream to kpc if I'm honest and we did waste a lot of time with no information coming out about what the whole plan was. Had we got more info out more plans like we are seeing now it might well of been a different ending

They'd have saved more if FoSB didn't force that pointless poll on them last year.
Yes and no it was done at the wrong time had they done it now with plans, drawing and cgi I believe we would of got a very different response

Its probably the only thing fosb have got right they struck early when people didn't know what they were going to get and people were angry about the plan
Its given them this ammo all they through of the line of the majority don't want a stadium.

I think they would have carried on in Hellenic Lg 1 paying no wages etc without much hope of progressing unless somebody decided to spend money or somehow stumbled on a way to make the ground pay (somewhere between Bob Hope and no hope on that one).
Believe it or not, the club was actually profitable (the food sales alone made the club profitable). The ancillary activities if managed even slightly professionally would have made them able to progress to the Southern Leagues. They were just horribly mismanaged and on multiple occasions ballsed up a good thing. It was unforgivable really.

Yep. I'm surprised. I would have expected more from them in the face of these press releases and articles to rally their troops. 'How can we believe these fanciful claims?', 'What about parking?' etc but surprisingly nothing has emerged. We get the occasional below-the-line comment from McIvor and Victoria has popped up again once on Nextdoor, but even the other noisy folks who commented a lot seem to have got bored of the whole thing and have moved on. Despite Middleton being back on Nextdoor, he's not said a word. Perhaps he's keen to keep his nose clean on this ahead of the election and he's turned his agenda to wanging on about Gaza and the Labour Party on Twitter instead.

The club are doing things right. Get planning permission in whilst the opposition are grounded and we can control the narrative again.
