heres hopingThere has been a distinct change of attitude in the last 24 hours from the fail all those emails must of got through and given there heads a wobble
They were both very different circumstances. Right know it would not help us to take this approach.Exactly this! It’s one thing being respectful to their campaign but when they are getting air time and allowed to spout their lies then we should push back.
When Brighton were campaigning they had someone who was constantly in the public eye across all local media, constantly pushing the positives of getting a new stadium. We currently don’t have that but the opposition do.
People say public displays can be seen as a negative but look at Southend, they protested outside the owners house and got a lot of positive press about it, nothing about being hooligans or yobbish behaviour.
There do seem to be some positive pieces at last.
has anyone sent this to OM, ITV Meridian and BBC South? Background – Oxford United Stadium

Yes.has anyone sent this to OM, ITV Meridian and BBC South?
They do. Chris Lowe last had an article in last week. There do seem to be some positive pieces at last.
Good to see a County Councilor rather than supporters, giving this upbeat message.
It would be good for more independent ( of supporters) giving their views on the positives.
Why doesn't the head of Oxford United in the Community give an interview to the Mail/ RO explaining all of the good they do and what could be achieved at the new Stadium?

Ah missed that. They do. Chris Lowe last had an article in last week.
Me too.donation made
And that's the problem. The lies by the antis are going front page, positive information is being buried deep in the paper.Ah missed that.
Thanks. Maybe it didn't get the coverage it deserved ( some huge positives) or maybe I just missed it
You are right. And that's the problem. The lies by the anti's are going front page, positive information is being buried deep in the paper.

I'm in.Me too.
The only thing wrong with that article is that it says the Triangle "has provoked strong criticism from environmental campaigners" They are not environmental campaigners, they are NIMBYS. All of the talk is about traffic and disruption, not the environment, and claiming that we should stay at the incredibly un-environmental Kassam Stadium.
My thoughts exactly Colin.
Maybe remove the letters environ from the word, and it would be a better description of them.
Exactly Colin and on a serious note, why is Ian Middleton as a Green Councillor against the principle of the club moving from a very carbon inefficient stadium with very limited public transport access to a carbon neutral stadium with excellent public transport links? Of course, the club will need to demonstrate that carbon efficiency and the incentivisation schemes to get people to travel by public transport at the detailed planning stage but as a principle, how can he be against it as a Green? The only thing wrong with that article is that it says the Triangle "has provoked strong criticism from environmental campaigners" They are not environmental campaigners, they are NIMBYS. Because his Green principles take a back seat when it’s in his back yard!Exactly Colin and on a serious note, why is Ian Middleton as a Green Councillor against the principle of the club moving from a very carbon inefficient stadium with very limited public transport access to a carbon neutral stadium with excellent public transport links? I think we all know the answer to that!Exactly Colin and on a serious note, why is Ian Middleton as a Green Councillor against the principle of the club moving from a very carbon inefficient stadium with very limited public transport access to a carbon neutral stadium with excellent public transport links?
