Theres no pro or anti stadium letters* in todays OM....its still 2-0 with tomorrows paper to go

* there is a pro KR remaining as manager letter today

Any chance you can do your 'usual' shotting at some point? :)

I'm very intrigued to know what any possible defence of KR can consist of!

Akin to the potential clean sheet being ruined in the 80th minute by a dodgy own goal VAR decision

Great to see the Government realise and acknowledge football is part of English culture and needs to be protected. Hopefully the Department for Digital, Culture Media and Sport and The FSA will be made aware of our stadium plight and will help us secure a new long term home at The Triangle.

Saw an email at work today from a marketing company partnering OUFC asking small businesses what they thought about OUFC moving stadium. Didn’t get to complete the survey. Was considering copying the email onto here, I’ll have a look tomorrow and report back if it’s interesting

Here's the gist -

Legends International, a premium experiences company, has commissioned a piece of research with senior business professionals to gather the opinions of potential users of Oxford United’s proposed new site, which aims to create a vibrant stadium harnessing the heritage, passion and atmosphere of the current stadium while building competitive advantage to the home team. The study has been commissioned by Oxford United FC, a professional football club.

Legends International conducted an initial piece of secondary research to identify industry experts and trusted advisors; we believe your expertise would add significant value to this study.

They must mean the previous stadium for heritage, passion and atmosphere. A modern Manor Ground, with a bit of a slope to the pitch, now you’re talking 😂

1 anti stadium letter in todays OM ....Steve Fisher responding to @bazzer9461 .... that makes it 2-1 to pro stadium this week ( at last a win!) ...repro to follow soon(ish)

Engagement, Engagement, Engagement. Lots has happened previously with leaflets being mailed, surveys on the stadium website, council consultations send now this.

Of course whatever engagement and consultations OUFC won't be good enough for those who oppose this.

The interesting takeaway from the FMFF yesterday (the only interesting takeaway) was TW saying he had seen the plans and they were fantastic. Really looking forward to it becoming public, then the campaigning can really begin.
arent them 2 cheeky chappiy pranksters/ annoying professional geordies back on prime time Saturday evening television with their Saturday night takeaway show starting tomorrow?

thankfully my weekend/ Saturday night workload increases imminently- so I shant be tuning in

random thoughts on Steve Fisher's very toned down ( in comparison to his previous bragging, on behalf of FoSB, offering), response to @bazzer9461 letter

as a self confessed member of FoSB ( who he previously has claimed thwarted OUFC SB sports ground stadium project- thus costing the people of Kidlington facilies etc by railroading KPC into a particular non compromising stance) he states the obvious in being opposed to un-neccessary building on green belt.

The Triangle , previously referred to as toxic scrubland (or similar), is 1) hardly genuine green belt land, 2) was suggested to OUFC by the County Council as the only viable land to accommodate the stadium

there will, of course be genuine concerns of residents (of Kidlington) that will arise, which will be rightly addressed at the appropriate junctures during the planning process. At present no formal plans have been submitted, without said plans opponents scaremonger making assumptions based on nothing but wild speculation. The Savills report identifies The Triangle as the only viable option, the same report flags up the current stadium as unviable as the landlord 'will not sell'

The lease between football club and landlord expires in 2026- with no option to continue beyond that point. Fisher's pal Cllr Ian Middleton has demanded to personally see copies of the lease agreement between football club and current landlord. Implying that the lease does not expire in 2026- basically calling Nial MCwilliams a liar in the process. Middleton's underhand delaying tactics such as this one, are then parrotted by his acolytes.

Another of Middleton's filibustering tactics has been demanding a Royston Vasey-esque consultation , only for local people ( of Kidlington & North Oxford) . Conveniently ignoring that due democratic process has already been followed by the county council, with their consultation - its their land, ( the triangle) and county residents made their views known, emphatically in favour of OUFC stadium relocating to outside of Kidlington. Cllr Middleton claims to be cautiously neutral, yet in Fishers previous letter to OM he stated Cllr Middleton opposed the stadium project. I think the latter is the truth of the matter, given the way Cllr Middleton provides 'ammunition' for opponents, such as FoSB - of which Fisher is a member, to repeat Middletons, intended to delay, assertions and calls. Yet the process so far has been held democratically , openly and properly - which is exactly what Fisher asks for
