Whilst we joke about it, KR is clearly bringing on Mackie even with seconds left for a reason
Pay as u play I suspect
Like the 2020 21 contract for Hall this sentiment is stretching the boundaries and costly us money
Plus with a 100% fit squad Holland and Wooburn back will question the match day squad

Whilst I agree with you that when Holland and Woodburn are fit Mackie shouldn’t make the bench I kinda agree with Robinson bringing him on he’s on a contract where you get paid when you play so I ask you this if it was you and your house wasn’t getting paid because you had a contract like Mackie would that be fair that you train hard week in week out but don’t play and don’t get paid because it’s costing the club a few quid

I think its about time we cut Mackie some slack. Firstly Robbo wanted to run down the clock, get into the corners , keep the ball and generally kill the game. If that was his objective then it worked, Jamie will do that. He might be limited in lots of areas but for gods sake we won , three points , mission accomplished . Enjoy and get off Mackies back. He won't be here next year, so worry about issues we can influence and enjoy the rollercoaster season . Get behind the team whoever pulls on the yellow shirt.
Just saying....

You have missed the point
Its KR we need to question
Going into our most crucial playing period for some time and this process to my mind could compromise our best team / squad selection
Only if you think he justifies such an inclusion and playing time could you disagree with my post

I feel for Mackie a bit, he was a class player in his day, but his legs have gone. Wish him the best with his future endeavours.

Mmm. We have just won 4 in the trot and moved into the Top 6.
I am not sure that a thread questioning KRs abilitiesvand decision making is particularly helpful.
Having said that Mackie did what was expected of him on Saturday. Agyei is coming on before Mackie from the bench.
See what happens when Woodburn comes back.

It does seem to be that Mackie has to come on for at least a few minutes - and that probably *is* related to how he is paid. Having said that, I thought he did a pretty excellent job on Saturday in helping to run the clock down so I don't think you can criticise the manager on that account.

I don't think that KR would jeopardise a result to "do his mate a favour".

I'm not naive enough to think that Mackie is a long term costly saviour, just that if Robbo thinks its time to bring him on during the game , trust the manager. Sentiment alone will not win you games but sound judgement will. COYY

My god, 4 wins on the bounce, back in the playoffs, only 5 points off automatics, and still some people manage to find something trivial to whinge about!

Just enjoy the season, it's been a bloody good one so far
Yes an obsession with Mackie ( after he comes on for what 5 minutes and helps see out the game) plus criticism of KR for what having favourites? I find it all a little odd.

With Taylor scoring for fun, and Forde being preferred at right back, we're in danger of not having a scapegoat of either Mackie or Long in the team. Selfishly, Hanson has also got himself out of the team so we can't blame him, and Hall has buggered off just to get off the hook!

I suspect that George Thorne will probably take one for the team, and be "that player" for the next couple of months just so everyone has someone to moan about!!

Didn't realise Eastwood was kinda in that group, until everyone started talking about him finally starting to make loads of worldie saves again in the last couple of matches. As though that has to be his default setting.
