I have a strong recollection that we did benefit to the tune of over a million - someone will no doubt have the actual figures. Do we know for definite, well presumably the club accounts at the time would have shown the amount.

Well yes, the transfer sell on came into the club. Accounts to 30 June 2010. Profit on player sales 531,232. There was a rumour at the time though that the club had borrowed against this, so the cash coming in went to repay a loan from somewhere else.
Oh and to add to not having any players worth selling, profits on player sales
