So no thank you to O Dowda

Being exceptional in league one doesn't guarantee being able to step up into the Championship. O'Dowda has 250+ Championship games under his belt and still looks a very decent player.

I certainly would be against signing him, and I don't think he'd be against returning either.

If he’s the very best we can lay our hands on then, yes, get him but that should be the only reason - the very best attainable. Any other reason, Oxford lad/fan etc, means naff all and is absolutely the wrong reason to get him.

He's a very good Championship level player. Probably got 2-3 years left in him. I'd take him in a heartbeat. The fact that he's from Oxford, and once pretended to be injured to get a move, is completely irrelevant. He was the best player on the pitch last week. If we can get him, yes please.

Very interesting listen. Callum O'Dowda on Ramsey and leaving Oxford. Quite clear he still loves the club and feels he was wrongly blamed for how he left. Says he would one day love to come back if it was right for him and the club.
