Just Sam Long doing Sam Long things. If it weren’t for KR handing him that mad 3-year deal when we were in the middle of a relegation dogfight, he’d either be playing non-league or stacking shelves for a living. Effort alone isn’t enough if you’re such a liability as in his case.

I've been critical of Des, but we've actually played pretty well from what I've seen tonight, and he hasn't really got much option except to play long at the moment

So I am willing to cut him some slack today

Not only was it a ridiculously negative, risky pass to make, it allowed Northampton to press high which put Negru under pressure. It then set the panic in for the following period where they scored, and the panic on the ball carried on after the goal.

We have thrown away 3 points against a team we were much better than once again. We need hundreds of chances whilst other sides need a few.
