Then why the bloody hell is he being started if he's not ready for it?

Yes he's young and will improve, but just goes to show it's not an easy role for any player currently in this side.

What's been damning is he's just not really been able to hold up anything so far and bring others into play. That's something even on bad days Taylor manages to do.

Taylor has not been doing that this season.

Hope the board give the ok to sign Joseph on a 3.5 year contract with an option

How did he miss - if that was a clearance you would be calling him the messiah!

Joseph coming back and scoring is the best bit of news we have had in months, he is our best forward wherever he plays along the front 3. Need another two up there to complement and cover him.

Not particularly well I agree, has been fits and starts where his lack of height and pace make it difficult. But O'Donkor hasn't done it AT ALL today.

O Donkor gets a half to do what Taylor hasn’t been able to do for months.

He was a goal poacher, now his legs are going he can’t do that and he doesn’t have enough in his game to do much more than become another Mackie, who wants one of them again?

If O Donkor isn’t the answer or ready yet fair enough, the solution isn’t to go back to Taylor, it’s to bring another forward in as soon as possible.

Well we are going to see now if Taylor can make a difference.

Yes he has. Just put a good cross in as well. Did a decent defensive header earlier as well. Let’s not make up that Taylor has been better than O’Donkor’s performance today, both were equally poor.
