It’s going to be Hard game!
The gulf in class was staggering. Our defending was shambolic, the difference between the teams on the ball in terms of pace of play and movement off the ball was scary. Our inability to pass under pressure, compared to Cov.Poor old Oisin Smyth had a mare - he turned the ball over eight times in the 45 mins he played - including giving it away with his first three passes of the afternoon.
He had a torrid time as did so many others. Too many of those that played today for the U’s are so one-paced. We were simply outplayed and outclassed
and it could have been worse. To concede such a cheap goal so early on from a corner set the tone for a miserable afternoon.
Felt too many heads dropped and we looked leaderless. The ball was given away so often even when our players weren’t under pressure.
Could be a long winter - just like last year.
You actually know it's not rosey behind the scenes or are you surmising?
What a depressing day.
I travelled for six hours to attend the game. I was sat with a mate in the middle of the away fans.
I shouted my support for the team throughout the game as I always do whilst most others showed their support for just 11 minutes until Oxford had equalised only to quickly go behind behind again. Pathetic even if many were there just for a day out.
Maybe many are not diehard enough to cope with an early realisation that the club even allowing for injuries is nowhere near ready to hold its own in The Championship.
Can't really argue against being in the group of poorly run clubs at the moment, can you?Can you just clarify which category we fall in to..?
Have we overtaken them or have they run out of fuel!Yeah, but we've overtaken Swindon and Reading, so not all bad.
Either way....Have we overtaken them or have they run out of fuel!
If I had to guess who this senior member is, then I’d say Niall!I didn't hear him say that but that's what I'm alluding too.
From what I was told yesterday. It may not be true so take it how you wish.
Owners , Board and other employed members not having the same vision and becoming frustrated by lack of progress and broken promises. It's got to the point where one very high up member wants to resign from their position.
You would think every analyst would be saying game plan against Oxford is press press press. Dont them settle, wait for their mistakes, attack at pace. Job done.Worried about our game plan. Coventry had a successful high press like Reading but we just couldn't cope yet again. Completely lost control of midfield for most of the match. Mceachan, Smyth & Thorniley just had rings run round them. Most worrying was Des not seeming to react when he'd played the wrong game plan.
Des does make Kemp seem like Guardiola to be honest.Worried about our game plan. Coventry had a successful high press like Reading but we just couldn't cope yet again. Christ on a bike! Spill the beans then, there were some really bad stories going around today and sadly quite often there is a fire when you can see some smoke.

Christ on a bike! More of your misinformation! I know you make stuff up as you go along but nothing would delight me more than to see them relegated (except to see OUFC get to the play-offs at least this season).Christ on a bike! You conceded in the 94th minute today.
Relegation a real possibility! Chin up.
This is a good point. Robinson, for good or bad, seemed to have a lot of oversight and control of the playing side strategy, but now Des is left to muddle along in very challenging circumstances there isn’t anyone focusing on the broader vision. Makes us look like a property company with a bit of sport on the side.I wish the members of our senior management and ownership had this clarity of thought. A vision. A clear vision with which to operate by.
We've all been bouyed by the suggestion of this kind of operational model being implemented, but it all looks like it's gone to s**t a little bit of late.
The model is there. You only have to look to Brighton and Brentford to see that's it's not hard to rise up the pyramid amongst a plethora of frankly, very poorly run clubs. The above (and I include Coventry in this list) are currently maximising their operational potential.
Let's wait and see what is done in the rest of the January transfer window to judge the state of the club and ownership properly, but on all the evidence currently available to us, due in part to the appalling channels of communication from the club itself, we look like a club in decline again.

Is it bad luck or are some of the injuries in the squad due to the way we train and make same players play week in week out. We rarely rotate and have these same injury issues with muscles etc every season!! Mills agree a different story but overall we just seem to get more muscle injuries than any other team at our level, questions to answer I’d say? It can’t be bad luck season after season after season?I can’t believe our bad luck.
