He tested if he was okay to drive by loading his family into the car and driving to a remote beauty spot on his wife’s birthday. His son needed to use the toilet on that journey but not the 5 hour one in either direction.

He also admits he never even thought about seeing if there was any way for them to stay put. He just said he didn’t ask anyone locally to help, but his opening statement also said their usual childcare wasn’t available.

You mean somebody key in our Govt, saying whatever and not being held to account, even when they can't get their own story consistent and thus weakening their own Govt's ability to implement policy with the public. When you say “no one’s interest” And it’s not in Boris Johnson’s interest Dominic Cummings interest or any of the people who support them’s interest.

However as their regime has already led to the worst death toll from COVID-19 in Europe I’d say the more that they are held accountable for their actions the better.

The world can see this interview, the world can draw their own conclusions about him and the Govt, and the detectives amongst them will forensically examine his replies and bay for blood. Will it actually change anything. At all? Not at the moment and unless anything changes that makes his position absolutely untenable, not in the future

Well considering he isn't prepared to apologise or accept he made a mistake and is now blaming the media but his wife's lies in the media are acceptable/justifiable. He has undermined his own Govt's rules, others have faced consequences for doing so, he hasn't.

I don’t think we should nor will ‘we’ be able to, quite rightly. This sorry fiasco will stay with us as a blot in the Covid response for years to come . And I say that as someone who still thinks he should have resigned.
