HMRC?

A relief to know that HMRC has finally been paid.

Interesting to know that there IS a cash flow problem within the club, but not surprising.

The unacceptable delay in communication to Oxvox and supporters in general confirms (to me at least) that Tiger is probably a control freak, doesn’t know how to (or won’t) delegate.

I would expect at least one of our player assets to be sold in January to raise some cash.

The main positive to come from this sorry saga is that supporters will now realise NOT to take want the board say at face value.

If this is true, this may be significant. If the club had to fork out an extra 600k they hadn't planned assuming they would win the arbitration with Kassam.( yes yes poor planning) this clearly would have a big impact on cash flow.
In many ways, this is a slightly better scenario.
..it would mean Kassam is paid off and there is a little more justification in cash flow problems with such a big chunk coming out.
Thought they were in arbitration over his service charges

So did I, but someone here claimed Kassam has been paid the full amount.
I did read that somewhere can’t think where though, but if it’s paid what was the point of arbitration unless they sided with OGB

What intrigues me is that the Oxford Mail reported that the bill was paid a couple of days ago. Who told them, and why weren't Oxvox informed at the same time?
OM and Radio Oxford tweeted it at exactly the same time, so I'm presuming the club reported it to them but decided not to make a statement themselves.

Totally agree with this point. At least we'll all now watch every move or lack of moves the board makes like hawks! This has put all very much on our guard!

I would imagine that this is quite an embarrassing situation for Tiger - I certainly hope it is anyway. He’s been caught out, his business ‘strategy’ is obviously not working as well as he’d hoped.

Ok, fair enough, the club might very well be investing in long term goals, but - call me old fashioned - if someone is going to undertake a project like obtaining a football club, you’d hope the strategy would also involve the avoidance of court orders for unpaid tax bills. It’s worrying that he’s flying so much by the seat of his pants.

And let’s not even get started on his communication policy to the paying customer.

I’m very concerned today but will await his explanation.

You have to wonder from that ^ if those close to the club on a day to day basis are actually fully aware of the present situation. And also how much are they being kept fully up to date and how many (false) promises are being made to them.

So to confirm Tiger has money but is in for the long game? Non contracted kids cost a lot and a new portacabin with a few pitches is investment.

There was me worried he didn’t have any cash!!

That's a little disingenuous.
A new pottacabin with a few pitches? Have you heard what the football side say about having a quality training pitch for the first time ever?
As for non contracted kids. It doesn't look like you can see what Is really going on at youth and U23 level.

Hasn't Gobbo been quite vocal about the quality of the training pitches?!

Teething problems aside, the current training ground is a big improvement on the previous base and no doubt compares very well against other clubs at our level.

But as I understand, this is a council asset which the club rents from? No problem with that as such. I just don't see how this is a reflection on the investment made by Tiger.

His takeover coincided with the final stages of the training ground completion - in short, I don't see how his inputs (financial or otherwise) have had any impact on the training base? Perhaps somebody can correct me.
