We had enough chances to win 3 or 4 games today. Although once again we take the lead and donโ€™t really chase the second goal until we conceded the equaliser. There is no point at this stage of the season for such caution, letโ€™s go for it from the start in every single game we have remaining. Itโ€™s still in our own hands so itโ€™s time to throw caution to the wind and see where that takes us. Also in my opinion Cam Brannagan and Marcus McGuane are the best midfield pairing we have at the club and we need to play them together in the next few games.

The same applies to the majority of football league clubs. Not many run at a profit or even break even. While there still is a possibility of a new stadium our owners will fund us to challenge for promotion out of this league.
In that case theyโ€™re going to have to give us a bigger budget, Iโ€™m not convinced with Des and Ed and the budget and do we cash in or cash out and let Goodwin go if someone wants to take a point on him.

But mcguane has been lousy lately !

So much money on the playing side has been wasted. There doesn't appear to be anyone in the club that has a footballing brain!
Certainly not the manager.

I think a vital lesson has been learnt, at the level we are at, paying a high comp for a manager doesn't make sense. I find him so utterly uninspiring. I would be stunned if it ever works out.

We simply donโ€™t have players that can finish

Whoโ€™s fault is thatโ€ฆ

We signed a striker, that is clearly not fit.

Why not sign a striker that is able to start straight away.

Des signed Goodwin! So heโ€™s to blame. He had a whole January window to solve that problem. That problem still hasnโ€™t been solved.

Wouldn't say we need a bigger budget we just need to spend it more wisely. Spending ยฃ400k on Goodwin and paying compensation for Buckingham is not spending it wisely.

He needed to carry everyone with him with enthusiasm and his ideas right from the start, but as with the players he just sat back and let it continue as before so lost all momentum. It feels like neither the fans or the players had anything to buy into.

There are clubs in this league that wonโ€™t have spent ยฃ1m+ on fees in over a decade. We spent it in a matter of weeks and still waiting for even a glimmer of a return on that investment.

Maybe, but we missed several chances by players across the team. Any player worth their salt should be converting them

A lot of money has been spent without due care and attention at the club for too long.

Sacking Des won't come cheap, but we are going to lose money on ST sales because lots of fans won't want to watch groundhog day every two weeks at the out of town craphole stadium.

Manning had this side sitting second in the table and the team had a clear game plan. Missing out on the play offs after such a great start will be seen as a failure especially with our playing squad budget.

Des wasn't the right appointment considering he didn't even have an assistant to call upon. He is not learning from his mistakes even though he keeps banging on about learning from mistakes.
He didn't do nothing special, he jumped ship. He had over 3 quarters of the season to play. It could of easily gone pear shaped.
Being 2nd in the table at the beginning of the season don't mean jack.
No one can say how it would of panned out, people that think otherwise ,are in Dreamland..

But our strength in depth is not there in every position. We have Browne, Burey and Goodrham chomping at the bit as options out wide. Iโ€™d love to see our best, most skilful winger - Browne - on one wing and our quickest, most direct winger - Burey - on the other.

Burey will not be involved again, you need to move on from that. And even if he was available, he has not produced a single moment that would justify his selection over Dale and Murphy.

As for Tyler and Browne, neither are out and out wingers. I'd happily play either in the no.10 role or in a narrow front 3, but then you lose all width.

Weโ€™d be better off throwing the cash down the drain.

Goodwin may turn out alright, but the manager has been here long enough, and had a whole window to work in, and itโ€™s not worked out since he joined the club.

I still remember when he did his first meeting, with the players. Hi everyone Iโ€™m Des a couple may know me. I coached Sam as a boy. Hardly a glowing reference. Long is one of the weakest links in the squad. He was dreadful today.

Manning met the players, and said Iโ€™ve coached a few of you. Browny, the difference in players coached - massive!

More management like, LM also said I will go through videos with you, and work on little tweaks, and get you to improve each time. He did too.

This manager is weak!! Not strong enough to be managing a Lge 1 club. We need an experienced manager at this club, someone that knows how to build a squad.

He had us second in the league, beating comfortably the likes of Barnsley and Derby away, following a season of utter turmoil. I don't love the bloke, but he worked wonders when you consider the trip Desball has been.

If our defenders could pass we would have a very good team I think. I wonder if thatโ€™s the major missing piece for the next transfer window?
Who are these defenders suppose to pass to when u have bodin and Rodrigues hiding behind there man they pass it to either long or Bennett and they pass it back to them Iโ€™m confused what u guys want Moore and brown to do
