New Stadium Plans - The Triangle - Planning

Hi Ian, glad to have your half-truths back. The people of Kidlington didn't tell the club they weren't wanted there at all, as you well know. Despite your campaign of smear and misinformation you could still only get a tiny turnout to vote against the club. The VAST MAJORITY of people showed they didn't care one way or the other. But as a small-time politician, you try to spin the results.

Ian Middleton of 2 months ago is going to be furious with Ian Middleton of now when he realises that he's been saying the license expiry has never been in question.

Nice to have it in black and white that FoSB are utterly pointless though.

He, Cllr Mawson, and Cllr McClean have predetermined anti-stadium positions so should be nowhere near the planning application.

How can I let CDC know that? In the response to the planning application or another method?

I don't want to keep making my original point but it is even simpler than what you have stated. The people of Kidlington were asked a binary question. They were asked whether they agreed with KPC supporting a new stadium in Kidlington. They were not asked whether they themselves were in favour of a new stadium in Kidlington. It is a completely different question. There could be a number of reasons why the majority of people who voted did not want KPC council to support the stadium. That doesn't mean they didn't want the stadium just not KPC to support it.

Won't somebody please think of Steveopedia and those oh so important trips to the theatre? (This article - https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/24156682.oxford-united-must-commit-keeping-oxford-road-open/)

I hope he realise’s there is a station in Tackley where he can get a train to Oxford and then on to Paddington, which goes know where near the Parkway station I believe.

Wow, just wow - thousands of people should be denied entertainment and millions in investment should be turned away so that Steve can go to the theatre as and when he fancies it. The entitlement is off the scale. I'm beginning to suspect Steve Hill is actually a parody account, it's so bizarre.

And anyway, it's nonsense, you just plan to go at a time when there won't be a big crowd forming or (perish the thought) have to mingle with other people some of whom might be working class!

No, he insists on using Parkway just to make a point!

And yes you are right. It's a different line. Tackley is on the Cherwell Valley line and Parkway is on the Oxford to Bicester line.

For Middleton to claim he is ‘neutral’, then continue with a tirade of anti OUFC, anti stadium for months on end shows the true disingenuous nature of the man.

Completely lacking in integrity. Not someone whose word could ever be trusted.

That’s before we get onto the subject of his historical creepy, misogynistic tweets……

Tackley - Didcot - Paddington or Parkway - Marylebone However, that would involve driving to Oxford Parkway, something, of course, local residents wouldn't have to do with all the lovely new footpaths and frequent buses running though Kidlington. (Yes, that would be environmentally friendly but, so what hey!)

They are all entitled to their opinion as private citizens and can comment on the plans as such.

Putting comments such as the above in the public domain as a councillor is a different matter and I'm sure our legal team are lapping them up and recording them for use if needed.

We don't need to give this guy any rope - he seems to be quite happy weaving his own....

Classic Ian Middleton there, lots of spin, little substance to anything he says.

He tries to paint the club in bad light in any way possible, maybe if he had a more professional approach people would take him seriously.
I absolutely loathe him.

Ian Middleton is a fool, and more importantly, an irrelevant fool. His objections are meaningless and won't change the outcome of this planning application.

He is looking at political gain by going to the electorate and saying "I was the one that fought against the stadium whilst the Lib Dems did nothing" in the hope to pick up votes from those who are fed up with the Tories but never voted Labour in their lives. And the more we try to engage with him on social media the more it strengths his thinking that he alone can stand up to thousands of nasty football thugs.

His time will come, and is heading for a pretty miserable 2024!
