Probably the easiest game of a busy few weeks so would hope we end up walking away with the 3 points.

Fancy Harris to continue his goalscoring form, 2-0 to Oxford

EDIT: And it’s postponed

Still, look on the bright side, we're on page 14 already, don't normally get that far until after the final whistle.

Then it's an extra 10-ish pages if we win, treble that if we lose.

I think our inspection could have been delayed till midday and Stevenage's should have been decided at 10am, based on the distance the away team and fans have to travel. I've been for a walk and although the surface isn't frozen, it's still very hard underneath. It's also a bitterly cold wind. Those of you saying it should be played tomorrow, have you seen the forecast?

Stevenage Barnsley off. Annoying - wanted Barnsley to be tired for Tuesday.
That is a disgrace to leave it that late, if they thought the pitch was close to being playable then extend but pathetic from the official to call it off after a second inspection. Feel for the Barnsley fans.

While I am very disappointed there is no game this afternoon, if the ground wasn't fit (according to modern safety standards rather than 'we used to do sliding tackles on tarmac' rhetoric) then it's right to call it off of course. And also right to do so early - away supporters and exiles (some of whom are coming from further away than the away fans in this case) won't have wasted their time and money travelling.

It was the referees decision. We know how inconcistent they are, no doubt some would have said ok, others do another inspection at 1and others would have called it off.
The priority these days is rightly players safety, back in the days at the Manor, criteria was is the match playable. The key issue will have been will the pitch be playable at 5pm.
Move on, the games off.
Is that a whoosh or have you just misunderstood my post..
I said on another thread on Thursday that I’d be surprised if the game will be on then got roundly pilloried for having that view.
Well f*** me, the games been called off, so forgive me having a little dig at others expense, particularly the one poster who said they wondered when the first post about the game being called off would appear. 😀

What is this rational post doing here? This is Yellows Forum in January

No thanks 😁 ok another note it’s not just the players but also the fans safety especially if there is any ice in the car park.

All these comparisons to northern teams games being on.
I believe Oxfordshire recorded the lowest temperature on Thursday night -11
